Grrrrr this guy pisses me off! There will be a link to a petition in the 'Take Action' section of the website in the future so save the link and check back regularly. This dickweed needs to be stopped!!!

Yeah it's terrible but ThAT IS THE MEDIA now.

Don't bother 'taking action', He has made his way to the top so he runs things the way he sees fit (as terible as is).

I don't think it's possible to stop him to be honest!

Oh ok got it...

Anyone can make a website...the fact that he owns so much of the media is perhpas not a very good thing but don't believe everything you read...and if you don't like it then don't watch...CBC is still around and always will be no?

I don't understand why in our society when someone makes it big, works hard, and becomes a successful business-man/entrepreneur we have to automatically think he's bad, he's an asshole and he should be fired?

This is a little different. I agree that yes one someone becomes very successful there are alwaya 'haters' like there are for even Bill Gates. People say he monopolizes the market and blah blah....

But this is a little different. This guy not only monopolizes the market, he has strict guidlines of what can and can not be showed to help instill his political and societal ideals into the people that watch his shows/ read his papers.
He's not just made it huge, he's made it huge and altering people's view on the world.

Is it right? No.
Will it change? No.

What can you do? Support CBC.

Well no what i'm trying to say is that you shouldn't believe everyhing you read...just cause some guy made a website and said some stuff doesn't mean it's actually true. Doesn't mean that all his media is biased you know...that's all.

I can make a website and say some stuff about someone but that doesnt mean that it's true ANYWAYS...the only reason why i brought it up is cause of what they decided to highlight as an example - Istaeli - Palestinian conflict...that alone automatically raises a flag in my books

But yeah CBC...yippy!!!

btw, there is still possibility that things may change. it's all about who runs the country (kinda brings us back to the elections). the asper family has very close ties with the liberal government, who knows if and when the leading party will change if things for canwest global would also change

I just don't understand. What the hell is wrong with this world? Where did we go wrong? What the hell would possess anyone to "edit" or "control" what we hear? What have you to gain by sheltering the public from what REALLY happens out there? I say shame on all of them. I sincerely hope this changes one day. Why don't more people who are up there in the chain of command realize that we're just poisoning ourselves with bad information. It's such a discusting reality.
