I have the best job in the world.

Seriously, I have the best God damned job in the world. As the "Student Assistant Manager" of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra's Summer Music Festival, I get paid to do jack shit. Let's see; today, I basically just had lunch, talked to some kids who don't have any friends, then I practiced my insturment (which I would do at home), read Of Mice and Men (which is woefully depressing), and then took a nap (with my managers consent and encouragement). I can't believe I am getting paid to sleep!

I too have a pretty sweet job. I life guard my neighborhood pool - I get paid minimum wage to sit around and watch little kids swim while blasting out some fine breaks or house. Usually my music is enough to drive people away too, so I can end up taking a nap . All you have to do is clean up once and a while and fuck with the pump if the pressure gets too high. The only real downer is that it gets incredibly boring sometimes, but hey, I ain't complaining.

Boring? As a lifeguard? Lifeguards, here anyway, are notorious for fucking things up. A friend of mine lifeguards at this private pool close by, and they put shit and condoms in stuff in the pool so that they have to lock it down for 3-4 hours for cleaning. Or they harass other lifeguards from other pools. Lazy bastards.

i have an amazing job, i work as a engineering intern with Ford Motor Company. i work my ass off, deal with all sorts of bullshit from guys on the line... and work 12 hours a day and only get paid for 8... i do it for the gratification and personal fullfilment......and the fact taht i get paid 37 bucks an hour LOL

Ooh condoms in the pool to shut it down, that's a good one. Could save me from having to teach a few classes

yeah but how much do you get paid.

I used to work as a survey guy for a construction company. my boss type guy would do all the math and figuring out on site, so I slept. Then I setup the machine (that thing ona tripod :wtf and tell him where to pound in stakes.

and I got paid $15.28/hr, anything over 8 hours is time and a half, over 10 hour day, double time, sat = time and half, sunday = double....

too bad that company went under....but I did buy my turntables with that money.

hey, well congrats on the orchestra. I'd DIE to work anything music related but no one wants a 17 year old, not for pay, tho they said they'd take me as a voulnteer

But I just got hired today at wilsons leather in a mall nearby so it's okay. Bad thing is - I have no clue what my hours will be or what the pay exactly is yet....wish me luck...

Work as an IT technician here. Im the only guy in the company that knows anything about computers so its pretty much a free reign in what I do.

So basically I get paid to sit around and mess with computers. I also get to run some nice servers, and get access to the latest hardware for free.

So Im pretty happy with my job. only problem is it takes me 1hr to drive to work every morning.

I work at a water theme park.

Most of the times I get to do lifeguard duties..just hang around in the water and look out for trouble.

I also get to handle the rides.Splasing in the water,talking,playing with customers. Not mentioning the hot chicks in bikinis...

Only thing is I get sunburnt like hell.
