Question Are these HF's bang for the buck?

I went to my local electronic store and put on a pair of Bose Triport headphones. They were so much more comfortable than any DJ/audiophile headphones than I've tried. I've tried to do research but all the reviews say it has good sound quality but little else.

I can get a pair for $110 with free shipping(msrp $150). Is it worth it? And also can I replace my crappy headphones with this for monitoring/mixing?

Those headphones lack punch. Go with Sennheiser's instead

Ya the bose headphones are very good. They don't have the energy to them that the Senn's and Pioneer's have.

To be totally honest, I received a pair of the Bose headphones, they were a more expensive version than the Triports, just because of a noise-silencing contraption, but had the Triport "technology." I ALSO have Pioneer HDJ1000s exclusively for DJing. And after 2 and 1/2 years of having the Bose, they are still better for listening and enhancing the sound than the Pioneers. Pioneers give a clear and crisp sound, good for mixing and making out peaks in the music. The Bose provide a "fuller" sound and everything just sounds better. And apart from that, they are more comfortable than the Pioneers.

If you want excellent headphones strictly for listening, 110 is a badass deal for those headphones. But get a different pair if you want to DJ.

Bose != quality. IMHO, it's overpriced crap. Your paying for a name. I'd do some more research.
