madonna - music (quivver remix)

i know its kinda old,
i have it on mp3, and i just wanna ask anyone who has the whitelabel:
is the quality as shite on the vinyl as it is on the mp3?
the mp3 is lacking so much high frequencies and feels completely empy.
im asking cause if the vinyl is good, i wanna get it

thanks in advance

mislabled mp3, it's the unreleased shane54's pink flood mix

So possibly the whitelabel 12" is mislabeled also? I'm not sure but at least teh white i own, says Madonna - Music (Quivver Mix). And it has a decent sound quality, no complains about that.

ok, now i'm confused actually, because i downloaded the shane54 remix of music a while ago, and then recently like 2months ago i downloaded this and it was the same remix, i know that the shane54 remix has released on whitelabel, i need to hear a sample of the version that you have on the vinyl grim

maybe someone pressed the white label from a mis-labeled mp3?

that might explain it

I'll listen the shane54 mix and say if its the same as the "quivver mix". Will get back to ya later...

i have this vinyl. its Madonna - Music[Quivver remix][White] it was formerly known as Shane 54's Pink Flood remix which was a mislabel...

Posted by GrimReaper on Jun-18-2004 15:06:

This makes me even more confused too.. hopefully someone contacts with the remixer(s) to make sure which one is it, or is there a remix by both of them.. which i'm starting to believe.

Posted by montana on Jun-18-2004 15:08:

ok, i emailed shane 54 to ask him, let's just wait

Posted by dj tek on Jun-18-2004 15:13:

ok guys.. shane 54's pink food remix and quivver remix are the same but its actually quivver's remix.. it says so on the vinyl.. checkout both sound clips.. theyre the same.

Quivver remix

Shane 54's Pink Flood remix

Posted by montana on Jun-18-2004 15:21:

well, the shane 54 remix was released first and it sounds very much like shane 54's pink flood stuff, same kick & sounds as the lenny kravitz remix & his far from in love remix

Posted by Psy-T on Jun-18-2004 16:36:

what makes you say the shane 54 mix came out first?

btw, the mix sounds a bit too minimalistic to be shane 54

Posted by PEZ68 on Jun-18-2004 16:40:

definately shane 54 remix

Posted by montana on Jun-18-2004 18:17:

because shane 54 did his remix due to the madonna - music remix competition on acidplanet.com, that remix came was done in 2002, it also appeard on whitelabel the same year, the "quivver mix" on the whitelabel sounds exactly like the shane 54 mix just came out this year

Read this review, made in February 2002.

It's not too minimalistic to be Shane 54 mix because it's a Pink Flood Rmx, just listen to his remix of Lenny Kravitz - Believe In Me and you'll easily notice the similarites between the two mixes.

allright, i guess
thanks for the info

Posted by RJOllos on Jun-20-2004 11:58:

Sooo .... There actually is no Quivver mix and the white label vinyls that say Quivver mix are mislabled?

Posted by AlphaStarred on Jun-20-2004 14:01:

oooooo, i like this.....at any rate

Posted by montana on Jun-26-2004 01:15:

so i e-mailed shane 54
and here is what he said

Thanks for your mail, actually I'm surprised no one has asked this before.

Yeah, I have that 'Quiver' vinyl too (they wasn't even able to write down
his name correctly)

The fact is, I did that Madonna remix, and obviously someone was pressing
some copies, and thought my name doesn't ring any bells, so they wrote
another remixer. Anyway, I found this remix under 'Steve Lawler remix', just
as my Lenny Kravitz, which also had several 'incarnations'.

Sorry about the confusion, but I don't have anything to do with it.

Cheers!

Shane

man..... thanks for clearing things up. I was trapped in the dark for quite some time. No wonder i found it funny after i listen to the remix of lenny kravitz' believe in me. Obviously the elements used where more closely to Shane than to Graham. Geez i wanna kill those "whitelabelers"
