Smile Shadowdance - Nocturne (finally something new from me)

After taking a couple months off to concentrate on other things, I finally have something new. It's a lot different from my normal stuff but hopefully you will enjoy it.

hey man!
didnt heared your tracks before so i dont know whats your normal style.. but you should stay with this one!! heh
sounds really great
but here are some things you should fix:
the piano volume is too high
the kick is a little weak, make him stronger
in 2:00 you need to make the bass stronger
cauze the track sounds a little bit empty just becauze of him

you fix those things and i think you can sign this track EASILY..
really awesome work..!

som!
Been ages now .
Anyway, this is pretty nice. The kick is abit weak, the piano is really too high. The lead is great!!! What did you use for it?
Bass Could be better too. Other than that, its mint , good to see you back among us.

that piano thing is a little loud too, its ear peircing
overall i really like it
just some volumes to fix and thats it

this sounds like the next vadim zhukov
no joke

good work
peace out

Hey

Track misses a bit of a theme. Piano is a bit to loud i guess and bass a bit weak.. but that's already been said, isn't it..

Rest is ok. Keep it up,
-Jay

Thank you all for the comments.

I've updated the sample to have a stronger, more solid lowend (kick + bass). I was having some EQ problems with the secondary bassline that was resulting in some muddiness, its a lot cleaner now. Also lowered the velocity on the three piano notes that were i guess kinda high pitched.

EM: I used pro 53 for everything, as always

Updated once again with a softer piano and a stronger clap.

christofa: haha, fair enough. I need to get around to finishing that revamp

james: thanks. I can upload the full 192 track to your ftp if you'd like?

Whoa great. I like the layered atmosphere, sounds very professional. The lead is nice, dark and subtle. Your other stuff is great too...

Cool

rather cool mate, i think the kick is flat rather tahn anything else, get a different kick, this one doesnt seem to sit in the mix very well at all.

melody is rather immense like, the piano and boom/crash fx are somewhat loud tho, just a case of sorting the levels and this is gonna be mint

+ why didn't u tell me bout it u little bugger
