Behringer DJx700

With a limited budget, I was looking at this mixer and it has everything I was looking for in a mixer as far as effects and bpm counter. So I was wondering if anyone has any information on why or why not I should get this mixer.

If you're going to buy one of those things, get it on eBay... Buy It Now for 219. Just thought I would look it up for ya

Wow, can't wait to see the other responses to that . Anyway, you really don't want to use the BPM counter, you should learn to actually beatmatch. Also, it's pretty much agreed that the effects on the DJX are lame to the point of being unusable.

Dude, if you have a limited budjet and no mixer right now, get it.

It's the cheapest mixer you will find with 4 channels, EQs, and kills. It works well, despite what others have said, I've been using it quite a bit since November when I bought it, and it's still all good. It serves the purpose for DJing well. However, the BPM counter and Effects are pure shit, I won't lie, so if you ever want to use effects I suggest getting an effects unit like the Pioneer EFX500 or the Korg Kaoss Pad 2. And you should never need a bpm counter, you have 2 of them on each side of your head.

DO not pay over 200 bucks for it though. What happened? The price went UP? I paid 180 when it first came out in stores, do some more research on prices. Take care.

I personally don't like behringer or bpm counters. But i do like guitar center b/c they can pricematch ads. Just print it out and if your cool w/ the salesman, they could probably knock off tax as well.

Yeah just five cents here that BPM thingys are crap, they are usually inaccurate and you might aswel train your ear. Just put black electrical tape over them ;p

Yup, very good idea, that's the very first thing I did with my Behringer VMX-200, and the tape is still there. Not to mention that beatcounters are generally pretty useless too...
