R.i.p. Paul Johnson

Some sad news here. Those barbarian members of Al-Queda killed Paul Johnson by be-heading him the same way they did to Nick Berg. It's another American casualty suffered. May he rest in peace and my God bless his family and help them get through this aweful time.

I heard they videotaped this one as well. What animals!

No offence but the media coverage on these deaths is fucking rediculasly stupid, yea i feel sorry for the poor guys family. But its a "war," the fuck do people think it is. Their only way to have any leverage over us is to make every death seem 100000000x worse then it is. I don't think ive EVER seen the media cover one of out bombs wipeing out 100's of civilians, none of you could give a shit about that. We could nuke them, and none of you could give a flying fuck. And its not like we treat our prisioners like kings either.

08/19/02 "WAG THE GASSED DOG" This is the purest war propaganda. One video of what may be Osama bin Laden plus a video of a dog being gassed which could have been created anywhere equals the US sinking to new lows trying to manufacture support for a war nobody but the oil companies want. This dog-video reminds me of Hill & Knowlton's much ballyhooed claim that Iraqi troops were stealing incubators from Kuwait hospitals and leaving premature babies to die on the floor. That was a hoax to sell a war. And until proven otherwise, the safest course is to assume this latest "shock video" is just another hoax by the public relations firms which grow rich and fat off of your tax dollars by lying to you for the US Government. Anonymous US officials have declared this to be "unquestionable" evidence that al Qaeda has chemical weapons. I find it very questionable. For one thing, compare the quality of the dog video with that of the famous Osama "confession" tape or even the most recent Osama tape. Why does a dog get much better video quality than the boss? Add to that the cuteness of the dog, as if intentionally selected by central casting to provoke the greatest feelings of sympathy in the viewer, instead of just grabbing any old mangy stray mongrel to use in such a test. Yes, this video is shocking, but the shock is intended to shock people past questioning the claims of where the video came from. All day long the media have been blasting the "Arabs kill puppy dogs" story all over the airwaves, trying to create a linkage between Arabs and chemical weapons where none can be proven to factually exist. Given the sensitization to chemical weapons contained in this media barrage, I have to wonder if the next stage provocation, intended to further the war against Iraq, will also involve chemical weapons.

Lee, this was a simple R.I.P. Thread in memory of Paul Johnson. If you didn't want to post an RIP message, you shouldn't of posted at all. Yeah, I agree the media coverage is ridiculous and I agree that the murders they committ need to be 100000000X worse so they feel that they have some leverage. But to attempt to compare death by be-heading and death by being bombed, now that's rediculous. They cut the guys head off with a knife, and not with one shot like a sword. They cut it off like someone would slice a piece of steak. So don't say that it SEEMS a 10000000x worse, because it is 100000000X worse than being bombed. And yes, killing civilians by bombing is wrong and not justified, but is expected when at war. That's a big misfortune of any war. America probably shouldn't have been there in the first place. Bush stuck his nose into something that shouldn't have concerened him. He should have pulled out our troops a long time ago. But leave those topics for the Political Forum. Just don't go assuming that I don't give a shit about civilian casualties or I wouldn't give a fuck if we nuked them. Nukes aren't the answer. Nukes would just make everything worse. I do know that as a proud American, when news like this breaks, it bothers me to see it. Just like I could empathize with anyone from Irag that has lost a citizen of their country because of American bombs. yep i understand i wasn't flameing u or anything. Yesterday alone i got a million im's saying "I wanna murder all of thoes mother fuckin towel heads....Why dont they use thoes towels for a real purpose..." and so on, which is just stupid. People just way over react when stuff liek this happends. A lot of it is only to get more support for the "war."

I couldn't agree with you anymore. It's amazing what measures people will take just to get support for this war. As far as those IM's go, there's no justification for it. I guess ignorance is bliss.

You may be happy about the deaths of others, you may want retribution, but I'd just advise you to pay attention before calling yourself an intelligent person and then saying things like this in public places, around others who know more about it than you.

People on all sides of this issue will continue to die. And if you look around, it's the people who act rashly and put in their two cents about it as if they're playing God who perpetuate the battle. Vlad, I don't think it's for you to put "the bright side" and death together. There are plenty of others who bring facetious speech like yours into action every day.

And the same goes for the other side, who wish death on the US and those allied with it.

tell me where people said they didnt give a shit about the hundreds who have already died in iraq??? this is such a noteable case because he ISN'T in the army, and was murdered in such a brutal way. beheading is only done to make a point about something, which those assholes surely did.

what the hell are you talking about? The guy worked for lockheed martin designing bombs and missile systems for years. And isn't involved in the army? Obviousely it made a "point" but people only notice the point when something like that happends, and not before. Shit I wouldn't be suprised if they faked his death so they could get military secrets, now that would be the smart thing to do.

And i will judge what other people think. Obviousely my point was right since you got all upset over this. I havn't seen you make a post to the people thaty die daily.

sure i haven't made a post about people dying daily, but how bout i think about it everyday? with the love of my life going to iraq this year as well as the death of his best friend in iraq a few weeks ago, i am well aware of the losses of american solidiers. so don't even go there if i were you...

and your "point" was right? the only thing i got upset about is you once again, telling people how they can feel and how they should think. you don't know us, therefore don't judge. grow up a little bit, and maybe you will be more tolerant of peoples opinions.
