Newb looking for advice
First off I'd like to say this is by far the greatest resource for Trance Music anywhere!!! I love this site!!!! Total trance edification!!!!
That being said, I've been into trance for about a year now and have really found great advice on this site.
The type of sound I prefer appears to not be everyone's favorite but I was hoping some of you experts could steer me in the direction of CD's, tracks, mixes etc. that were more along the lines of the following songs:
1. Solid Sessions - Janiero (Far and away the best trance song I've ever heard, IMHO) - Did these guys stay together but change their name?
2. Echano - Tranquility (I know this comes from one of the members of this board and I absolutely love this sound!!!)
3. BT - Dreaming (Lucid Club Mix) - I don't really care for any of the other mixes....but this has a very similar sound to Janiero and I love it...
4. Paul Van Dyk - Another Way....just a great song period.
I'm not even sure how to classify this "type" of trance but it's what I like and I can't seem to find enough of it. Any advice would be most appreciated!!!!
In another genre, my #2 favorite trance song to date is Veit - Sky (Magik Musik Mix). I realize DJ Tiesto was involved with this mix. I can't seem to find anything even remotely similar to this song by Tiesto nor anyone else. This is a brilliant song and I'd love to find tracks of a similar style!!!
Also, other than Kazaa, is there anywhere you all could recommend that I could hear the many songs recommended on this site? Amazon and the various "pay for" download sites only contain a fraction of the music recommended on this site. I probably can't find 25% of these songs even on Kazaa....surely there must be a better way?
Thanks in advance for any help or advice...
Hank
As a noob - u should learn about discogs...
http://www.discogs.com/release/57574
Also - Magik Muzik is a production duo of two very talented trance producers - Geert Huinink and Alco Lammers - http://www.discogs.com/artist/Magik_Muzik
they also record/produce under name Photon Project - Tiesto has nothing to do with them.
Also, don't ask for advice about where to download stuff, because you will be flamed for it.
Go look at:
http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=184104
definitely not the hub, nope nothing there
Sorry, I should clarify........
About the downloads......
First, I can see how my orignal message was interpreted. I want to clarify.......
I buy everything that I like....I agree artists should be paid for their work. Problem is, I don't know of any resource to hear all these great songs that are posted here on these boards. Some are here, most are not however.
What I'd like is something like an iTunes/MP3.com/Amazon.com type site where I can hear at least a portion of great trance music.
Apologies to the first couple of posters and thanks for the heads-up..
Hank
Most good online shops should have samples of the tracks they sell, so that's a good way to find out what tunes you like. BTW, welcome to TA.

I was a newb not too long ago and these CDs were what I was recommended to start with.
Plus I like the songs you listed as well so we probably have similar tastes.
well when i started out i listened to ferry corstens global trancemissions 1&2 over and over again, so that got me hooked.

Need the bitches singing with the powerful throbbing electronics backing them up.
