Will Holland qualify for the QF?

I see things dark....Chech Republik will put their B-team on the field and Germany has to win to go through...

Holland deserves to go through after such an wonderfull game (especially the first half).

Posted by noikeee on Jun-20-2004 15:21:

in last euro it was the same situation, portugal was qualified, put a B team... and destroyed germany by 3-0 with an hat-trick by srgio conceio the history is gonna repeat itself

Posted by Tim81 on Jun-20-2004 15:24:

I don't think so... Germany will be lucky!

Posted by unKnOwn` on Jun-20-2004 15:44:

germany won't be lucky!

No Germany wont be lucky, they're never lucky...

Probably the referee will give a penalty to Germany for a schwalbe in the 91st minute 1-1 and then in 93rd minute the czeck goaly will make a blunder 2-1!

I would rather prefer Letland go through to the quarter finals than Germany

Posted by monoxide on Jun-20-2004 21:04:

germany and czeck rep will most deffinatelly qualify. holland will be 3rd, latvia - 4th.

i don't see why holland/latvia should qualify. it's fucked up to judge by "a good 1st half of some match".

haha... so much love to letland

I can't see why everyone in NL thinks they are already disqualified because:

A. Germany hasn't shown anything yet on this tourney either.. their only goal was some lucky free kick which wasn't even meant as a shot and if they want to advance to the quarter final they (probably) have to score!

B. If Latvia comes up with a B-team these players will probably try to grab their chances by giving 110% to show the coach they should be A-players.

C. Latvia can't just play their defensive game, because they have to win as well to make a chance to advance to the next round.

D. NL is always lucky and the end of a groupstage ok ok Germany also

I can only see Holland beating Latvia, which means I think Germany have to win or they are out.

Posted by InterMilan31 on Jun-21-2004 05:48:

I do not think they will, Germany will beat the Czechs.

Netherlands absolute disgrace, reminded me of the old west germany teams. What happened to the beautiful football of the dutch. What happened to nedved and co was a disgrace, and for that matter i hope they lose.

he, i would give max 2% for such guessing...
(latvia has no chanches against holland, tho holland doesn't show strong tactics, latvia doesn't show anything worth reaching next level. btw no way chechs could beat germany!)

imo, chechs and germans will qualify...

I think u watched a different game, cause your description doesn't really refer to the game I watched...
I think both teams played great football, though the match was disrupted by an appaling referee!

Posted by noikeee on Jun-21-2004 10:57:

nedved?

really?

Lets ask nedveds legs,

or BArros

or Poborsky?

Cant remember by who but a certain challenge deserved 8 weeks punishment and only got yellow.

what happened to beautiful dutch football? Must of got lost amongst all the whore and crack houses

Watch the game on tape again, and you tell me if the dutch tried playing football.

I would take Holland over Germany any day. Would be great seeing Latvia in the QF, though

Yeah, let's ask Nedved's legs why he's always diving to get the opponent booked... Maybe you should watch the game again...

can't remember who either, but a certain challenge on van the man was worth a double red card and a penalty should've been given. what's wrong with the czechs? what happened to their fair game???

the dutch were 50 % responsible for the best game of football in a very very long time.
ciao

The match was the best match so far, I agree with you that Robben made a very harsh tackle on Poborsky, and that Nedved got a few kicks as well, but the Czechs did exactly the same thing. We got denied a 100% penalty and Heitinga got a 2nd yellow card which was a schwalbe from Nedved the diving expert...

So I don't agree that it was a disgrace to Dutch football, it was a tough but beautiful match. Tough from both sides and beautiful from both sides.

Too bad the referee had to fuck us...
