Party Hat Question for PCV275 Owners

A mate of mine in Australia is looking to buy one of these, but understandably they are unreasonably expensive down there. So to all you PCV275 owners in the USA, does the mixer take universal voltage (110-240, 50-60hz)?? If so, I'm gonna ship him one, as even after duties it will be totally worth it. Thanks in advance

mine is 230v, 50-60hZ, bought in the UK.

it should work in australia fine if a plug adapter is used.

there isn't a switch on the back to switch the voltage between tho..

Yeah but I'm looking to buy one in the USA and ship it to Australia so that doesn't really help me know what voltage the PCV275s available in the states take. By the way, seeing as your UK model takes 50-60hz are you sure it only takes 230volts?

thats what it says on the back of it

There is no voltage switch, at least on mine.
You need to buy a voltage converter ($5).

I don't have a voltage switch on my Xone:32 either, it accepts 110-240 volts though and automatically switches itself.

You're comparing a 500 euro mixer with a 1000 one.

no I'm not comparing mixers, I'm givin an example of a switching power supply that accepts 'universal voltage'. This is common in many brands and types of electronics.

^an american shop. in the picture of the back of the mixer you can see it says AC 120V 50/60Hz. so im pretty sure that since youre ordering one from the US, you'll have to plug it into an adapter in australia. i do the same here (im in thailand). i just plug my mixer and tables into a 120V strip and then plug the strip into an adapter. not a bit deal, just a few $ more, and you're probably saving tons over the mixer anyway

this doesnt so much belong here and i dont wanna run away with the thread but . . .

how much should you typically expect to pay for a used mint condition 275?

Posted by beats and beeps on Jul-01-2004 03:11:

I've seen them on some sites for as low as 350 usd, but i think the average price is around 500 brand new.
Edit: yeah i just typed it in froogle to double check, almost everywhere was selling it for 499.00

Thanks mate but I'm actually wanting to send it to a mate in Australia, where the mains voltage is 230 volts. I guess I'm only gonna be able to get a 120volt version here in the US, which answers my question.
