best carts?

which would be the best? and which is the most used by like clubs/dj's etc?

Ortofon concordes

Personal choice- but lots of clubs choose them as standard too, and lots of big name jocks.

Nightclub S
Scratch
Dj S
Elektro

They are the four best for frequency response and output (and style ) .

I love my white-labels. They are phenom. It's like Technics and Vestax though. Technics is the old-school industry standard and has been for so long. Yes, Vestax may be just as solid of a table, but people KNOW they can rely on 1200's to pull them through, so why change? I personally dig my white-labels, Very solid needle.

(Try running a search too, white-labels have been talked about plenty of times on here.)

ditto, i love my shure whitelabels too.

It really depends on your personal taste and style. For example, if you scratch you should stay away from ortofon nightclubs and whitelabels and go for something like m44-7. Or if your gonna sample and just listen to music then go for something like a grado. Or if your a really rich bastard than go for something like a koetsu.

Here's my personal favs:

1. Shure whitelabel (Works great and sounds great for me. i spin prog house btw)

2. Shure M44-G (great tracking for scratching like m44-7 but sounds much better for dance music)

3. Ortofon Nightclub-E (i like the elipical stylus for recording)

4. Stanton 680HP (i got a friend that uses them w/ his vestax pmc-05 and these bad boys produce a insanely high output. He can turn the gain to 0 and still get a usable output!)

5. Stanton 520sk (cheap, durable, reliable, sounds fairly good, just good all around for scratching and mixing)

I'm with Freak on this one. I use Ortofon Concordes with Nightclub S stylii. I like the clean look of them and the sound they produce is great.
