Anyone have an Ipod?

Hey I was gonna grab a 15gb ipod for my 2 hours journeys to and from work... Is it worth the 400 bucks though... pretty steeeeeep.

I have a 15gig iPod and it's amazing...but it's more of a style fashion statement which also explains the price...it's the "coolest" gadget. Seriously it's awesome if you can afford it...equalizers, precets, amazing transfer speeds, excellent library and display, awesome sound quality...and all the accesories.

I have the 40gb iPod and love it to death and yes I use a ton with all the livesets! It was a gift but would have bought a 20gb if not - they are definitely worth it.

Behold, my arse.

I like my toy better

very compact firestarter... but it doesnt contain much memory.. !

the ipod 15 gig would be a good buy.. you really dont need more than taht much memory

the one year warranty will allow you to return the product once for warranty cause after 6 months.. the battery life will go short

if they havent fixed that bug yet

but the best feature i like about hte ipod.. is that you can put huge sets on it.. and easily fast forward to parts you like.. just like winamp.. quick and easy

also you can put tracklistings in the notes section

AFAIK - Not the case w/ 3G iPods (20GB and 40GB) models.

I use to have an Ipod,
I bought the dell dj (I hate the name!!!) 20 GIGS for about 400. Though it doesnt have games, its got a 16hour battery life and I have a 2 year warranty on it.
Though the ipod looks much better, I like the fact that you can play mp3 and wmv files on dell, while with apple it converts the file

later

It's expandable up to another Gig with an SD Flash Memory card, has an FM receiver and do playlists.
Just how long do you think I'm going to spend in the gym???

I'm a self-professed Apple fanatic and though the iPod was the answer for quite a while, but the Rio Karma is cooler in almost every way.

Fitting properly into your hand, the interface is a lot more natural than trying to deal with the (graciously simple) toggle wheel of the iPod. The brilliantly backlit display is easy on the eyes in direct sunlight or one the darkest of nights.

With almost twice the battery life (15 hours) in the Karma, it wins hands-down in the stamina department.

A docking station (it glows, it glows!) that has both stereo connections and Ethernet, with the device showing up as an SMB/CIFS share is nothing short of brilliant.

Formats? You want formats?! MP3, WMA, Ogg Vorbis (woo), and FLAC. Stick that in your | and smoke it, you geektards.

And the MSRP in Canada for the 40GB model comes just under the price of Apple's 40GB.

For those who might say that Rio has a bad rep, they've been bought by Denon Audio, a very reputable company. All reviews I've seen (and I know how to do my research) have been positive, if not glowing.

Worth checking the Rio Karma out.

I have an ipod, I got it in October of 2003. It's 20g's, and I couldn't live without it.

Now my battery life is down to 5 hours, I am sort of dissapointed about that, but if it dies tommorrow I will definitly spend money to fix it, or even buy another one. It rawks.

I have a pink jam jacket on it, and a car charger, and an fm transmitter so I can listen to it in my car. It goes with me everywhere !!

My ipod plays MP3, WAV and ACC.

Plus the ACC sounds better than MP3 IMO.

Plus - check this bad guy: http://www.apple.com/airportexpress/

THAT is frickin' awesome RJ....good find!

I can't wait until this start to become real mainstream.

I was just thinking the other day too about what a pain in the ass it is to have to string Loooooooooong speakers wires down to the other end of my bowling alley apartment just to hear tOOns from my computer in the back room to the front living room...

The iPod Airport is my next buy for sure... I have been looking for something like that for ages.

Check this out: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=169780

I've this for a while and it lets me broadcast my iPod tunes on to any device in the house using FM. Great item too.
