What entances you?

Yeah I know this is an old thread, but I tought it was fun so I have posted it once again:

While I was looking for some music tutorials and such google gave me some very interesting things to read, it turned out to be really interesting so I looked up some more stuff on it at school. The most interesting thing ive found are these descriptions of trances:

quote:
there is a trance generating loop which consisting of repeating cognitive objects. This loop creates a dissociated trance plane in which various cognitive functions are disabled. And depending on the order that these cognitive functions are disabled as well as which specific ones are disabled and which are not, you have different trance states.

quote:
In listening, the devotee experiences a sense of spiritual bliss which may be manifest as celestial lights, mystical states, and physical effects. Each of these derives from three worlds: the present world, the angelic sphere, and the potential realm, this last being intermediate between the first two. And these three manifestations of spiritual bliss may occur in one of three places: the spirits, the hearts, or the bodily limbs. At first, celestial lights descend from the angelic sphere on the spirits, then mystical states descend from the potential realm on the hearts, and finally physical effects from the physical world alight on the bodily limbs. In other words, during the state induced by listening to music, celestial lights descend from the angelic sphere upon the spirits. What subsequently appear in the heart are called mystical states, because it is from the potential realm that they descend on the hearts. Next, crying, movement, and agitation appear, and they are called physical effects because they alight from the present world on the bodily limbs.

These quotes quite nicely define the things that we listen to and enjoy, weather they are called trance or not, so in persuit of more entrancing things I thought it would be fun if everone posted lists of stuff that they find entrancing

Are you kidding? This is an awesome thread. It's the whole freaking point of trance! The songs you list are excellent, I agree. But you want to know what I find the most entrancing? Self-hypnosis and lucid dreams

WTF does entance mean? Like what makes our feelings get all tingly?

Speed. Not the drug...but blasting away to DJ Tiesto - Live @ Gatecrasher NEC 16 Nov 2003 around the 43 minute mark (Lethal Industry) while going 100+ in my car at night on the interstate. Feeling the LIVE pulse of the 11000+ people and the music on that wicked soundsystem mixed with the extreme rush of being a total asshole on the interstate...ahhhh...euphoria.

Relistening to old trance. I consider the 1999 tracks OLD because thats the year I got introduced into the scene. Tracks like DJ Micro - Supernova. BT - Dreaming. DJ Tiesto - Sparkles. Man listening to those brings back alot of memories...nastalgia makes me get all tingly.

WATCHING THOSE FREAKS DO THE MELBOURNE SHUFFLE....HOLY SHIT THAT GETS ME ALL TINGLY.

Spending 5 hours detailing my car...then just standing back and looking at how gorgeous she is after all that work...that makes me tingly.

Watching any great sunset/rise while listening to Gatecrasher Digital - Chillout (disc 3 track 2)...definitely makes me tingly.

Successfully completeing any hard physical task at work like running up "Commo Hill" 3 times straight without stopping once. THATS pride/tingly.

Trance=tingly.

Cars=tingly.

Letting the music get inside me and fuel my body to dance like crazy...thats tingly.

Alcohol=tingly.

Thats all for now.

Ahem, I believe he was asking about the word "entance," not "entRance"... Of course "entRance" is a word, like "I walked in the entrance."

At one time "at", "one", and "time", were not words.
