my first expericnce with the cdj
after 3 times of playing and using pitch bend to beatmatch i finally found out that jog dial in vdj mode works better
second question important one(beatmatching)
when do a transition and as they say in tutorials u gotta match up the 1st song to the breakdown of the 2nd song so
do u people remember exactly how many seconds is left to a break point each song u have in ur collection or how u manage to pull that off because i tried to match them that way and i suked very badly even on the pc traktor dj
please guide me to the tutorial or whatever helped u or whare ur experience
cuz a girl wants me to play on her bday on friday and lol i want to at least not get thrown down from the dj corner
While yes, I probably do know where every breakdown in a song is, I used to just look at the vinyl itself which gives you a great indication where it is through darker and lighter spots. You're using a CDJ so that won't help you. However, after DJing for a while, I can just sense the appropriate time. Even if you don't DJ and have listened to trance for a while, you will know this stuff.
Good job with the post whoring
, but to answer you question, you can almost figure it out from the other sections you know that in most trance theres about 64 beats to a section and each of those seconds is gonna be about 30 seconds long so if the breakdown dont sound like its comeing up after 30 seconds you can guess itl probly be comeing back up after about a minuit (rember 30 seconds is just a estimate the proper amount of time i dont know after a while djing you just get a sence of it
can't you keep time roughly in your head? all it is, is counting to 4 over and over in time, it aint psychic ability
