PM pop up box is annoying me

...because every time it pops up today I don't have a new PM!
And earlier this week, I was not getting emails or pop up boxes, and finally I got one, and had about 5 unanswered messages.

what the hay is going on?

Turn it off. It's under options.

Make sure your cookies are enabled..

If the box comes up and you click cancel, view a thread, and then click back then you will get the box again.

To get out of this loop, just click on a forum header and get to threads that way.

Well when I actually have a PM, I find it a useful option.

yeah, sometimes, i get no pop-up for a PM, but it's not often enough to have complained about it.

i have noticed that too. i think it has something to do with that you click on a link from an email notification... not sure in what cases tho...
