Prodigy - Girls
what do you think about Prodigy - Girls ?
Trancevision
definately crackin tunage, their album is going to be the bomb!
"The title says it all about the music and band," Howlett said. "I wanted to make a record that was more old-school, like our second album, [1995's Music for the Jilted Generation.] I wanted to make it sexier and go back to the beats."
The first single from Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned will be "Girls," which Howlett describes as "dirty electro-punk with female vocals." The Prodigy will shoot a gritty, lo-fi video for the track soon, but no director has been named.
I like
This song is very good.
dirty bassline...
bought it today 'xl promo'
check it
Pleasantly suprised. After I heard they were going in the direction of rock, my heart just sank
But after listening to this a couple weeks back I was somewhat relieved. Let's hope theres more of this to come.
I love it. It's catchy. I think it is a mix between the styles on Music for the Jilted Generation and Fat of the Land.
The other track that has been released, Memphis Bells, is ok. On June 28 XL Recordings is offering a free download of the track to 5000 people. The interesting thing is that supposedly each download is unique and the track differs a bit with either a lead melody change, or different percussion. It's worth checking out.
I just can't wait for this album to drop.

Very cool song!
I bet a Hybrid remix of it would cause dance floor destruction worldwide

where can I hear this???
Is it true Princess Superstar does the effected vocals on this track? That flange action at the end is crazy.
I am happy that Liam "got his groove" back by adopting a new equipment paradigm.
The melody of "Memphis Bells" sort of reminds me (after my brother told me) of old NES games like Uninvited and Shadowgate.
I find the beats still strikingly Prodigy but as some have said, there is even more of a hat-tip to Liam's roots in hip-hop (shades of Grandmaster Flash) and... if you listen to the shuffled beats of "Memphis Bells", they are not unlike the syncopated hi-hats of Timbaland.
I like it and am anticipating the new Prodigy album.
It has been so long.
hmmm... thats good music
been waiting for this cd for years
How long's it been... 7, 8 years?
