How many Trance fan's out there?

Ok, I am absolutely sick of the attitudes towards Trance i've gotten over the years from so many people, on the internet and not. It's like if your favorite kind of music is not pop, hip hop, rap, oldies rock, new rock, or all of the above, your considered a wierdo.
How many Trance fan's are there in the world? Some say it's all over europe, as popular as rap/hip hip is in America. Other's say rap/hip hip/rock is all you hear in most european clubs. But what about the Trance fans in America? Here in New England it feels like a secret society where talking of it in public is unheard of. What about canadians? What about australia and new zealand and asia? Does anyone know how popular trance is with the majority of the world? Because so many people I meet just say it's "drug" music. It's for "raves" only, or it's "shit" or just music you don't listen to on a regular basis, just on the dance floor, occasionally...
I love Trance, with a passion. And eventhough I respect everyones unique tastes in music, it does hurt me when Trance (and most electronic music for that matter) is hit on and ignored by so many people. Am I just looking in the wrong places? Or am I just talking to the wrong crowds?
I know there are Trance fan's out there. All I want to know is HOW MANY!
If only a short message, respond to this post and tell me how much you enjoy trance. And tell me how many people you know enjoy it as well so my present annoyance and anger can fade away

hmm i dont understand, why all the sarcastic comments? his question was very valid. it IS like we are part of a minority, a minority of ppl that listen to "bump bump bump music" or "headbanging music" or my faveourite name "senseless noise". i for one am sick of being ridiculed for listening to the music i listen to.

i went thru almost all my comprehensive school years having the piss taken out of me for being a gabba/speedcore head. and now i have the same with me listening to hardstyle and acid techno.

the answer to the question... all my friends are EDM fans, i dont bother hanging out with ppl that like RnB or rock or pop music, or any other talentless bullshit that focuses on the utmost obtainable thing in the world.... love

why let the opinions of others effect you so much. I like trance, I don't give a rats ass if someone doesn't like it and tells me so....

there are trance fans in a lot of countries, and there are also trances haters in a lot of countries....thats all ya need to know.

Fortunately, I don't get as much ignorant comments about trance, where I live. I get this crap from people as well, but not as much as I hear in other cities.

Unfortunately, where I live, trance scene is almost dead. There is only one club that attempts to keep the fading light from going out completely. Most clubs spin hip-hop, reggae, top 40 shits and other boring crap, among that mentioned already. Occasionally, I would find trance fans, but it is really rare. Usually, these people become my friends for life.
