Cafe del Mar - an actual place?

For all you electronica gurus out there, is Cafe del Mar an actual place in Spain? Also, who are the people behind Cafe del Mar productions?

Yes.. it's a beach on ibiza where people go to watch the sunset before they head out to party.

Jose Padilla is one who compiles the tracks for the Cafe Del Mar series, up until the 8th cd i think. the last couple have been by someone else!

Yeah indeedy.. Jose Padilla is (or at least was) resident at the Cafe del Mar

although i have a newer copy of this... same title, and same tracklist but the last 2 tracks from disc 2 arent there, and there is a different cover, and released in 2004. there are also some other special features, which i guess compensate for the missing tracks.

EDIT: the cover is styled like this, EXCEPT instead of hands there is a pair of sunglasses with a sunset & airplane in the reflection.
