Jester Carl Cox still on the Guv' website lineup.

Is Guvernment just lazy? Why do they still have Carl up on their website when everyother club he's booked at has taken him off their list? Remember, GG tickets are still on sale! Weird no?

Weird? not for guv, IMO.

Apparently a replacement is supposed to be announced tomorrow.

I thought Hernan cancelled a long time ago too...but he was still listed on the poster by the ticket window when we were at Tiesto (?)

They'll leave it up there just for the people who dont frequent message boards so they still get a large turnout.

If i ever see you at Guv for any event you will go down in history as being the biggest hypocrite...

Why is that?

I'll go if the DJ is right, the price is right, and my mood is right.

At guv this *rarely* happens. ie. the price and my mood are rarely right, but for the right DJ I'd go.

yep..he absolutely "KILLED" the Guv on his last appearance...

one Question...Anyone knows if TIMO MASS is still kickin' around somewhere?!?!?!

Posted by rabbitjoker on Jun-24-2004 04:39:

Timo Maas still plays, ja.

I have a set if his from Oslo from back in May that I've been playing on 2HP.ca. Pretty good stuff. Starts off a little too minimalist for my liking, but picks up about half way through and ends in a fury.

Timo would be an awesome replacement indeed.

Posted by Shaya007 on Jun-24-2004 04:44:

hmmmm

I haven't heard anything from him in a while...I'd like to see him again too...Let's make a cpl of wild, yet calculated guesses here; Who are the Techno DJ's signed to Oakey's lable?! Either that or as it was said before Canadian talent can still rock the Boat...Where's Mistress Barbara on the 24th?!

why does that not surprise me

Posted by st0ka. on Jun-24-2004 05:56:

what? wtf did i pay 45 dollars for...to see fuken oakenfold, who is an OK dj...but wtf w/o Carl Cox that night is gonna suck....

Posted by crazedcanuck on Jun-24-2004 10:24:

Richie Hawtin is heads and above Carl Cox. Carl Cox msy have big techno roots, but he's gotten increasingly fluffier over the years

Richie may have gotten minimal and experimental, but he still pounds the shit out of it. Not that Cox doesn't, but Hawtin is much better @ all technical aspects, and is overall harder as of late.

She's in the studio this month, and touring Europe starting next week.

Doubt Guv could get her on such short notice. She books about 6 months in advance.

she's *probably* the only one that I would consider going to hear as a replacement for Cox.

I didn't see this when I posted previously....

Interesting.

Maybe Coxy called her and begged her to be the replacement?

I'm going to have a really tough decision to make if Barbara is Cox's replacement!

Posted by PartyHarlequin on Jun-24-2004 12:57:

Oh the intrigue! Whatever, Cox was the backbone of GG. Without him the whole thing isn't nearly as good and the price suddenly becomes a lot more daunting.

Posted by Skipper on Jun-24-2004 13:20:

But if Barbara is his replacement, I'll go.
Whereas I wasn't even going to go for Cox.

Different strokes...

Now, if they would confirm already...this is ridic!

It's funny how Guv updated the info on PVD, saying that new tickets were sent to ticketmaster but forgot to remove Cox from their line up.
Yeah well, I guess they just forgot, happens even to the best of us

calm down super fan

despite your lust for such a happening, I'm sure you would still agree that she aint an adequate replace.

As far as I'm concerned she's more than adequate - I'll go if she plays, but I wasn't going to when Cox was on the bill.

They better announce it today though, I need to re-group!
