Confused Space Manoeuvres - Stage One (Orkidea & Markus Schulz Remixes White Label?)

link

bid now is up to $100.. but is this real? if its not, i feel real sorry for the person that wins it..

Posted by montana on Jun-25-2004 15:50:

it might be real as both persons has done remixes and hey this version of the orkidea mix might even be the full version of the remix (the version on taika was cut down by a minute or so)

i don't trust it either...somebody probably got ahold of both mp3s and pasted it on vinyl to make a bunch of money...which it seems they are gonna do...

I e-mailed Orkidea myself months ago and was personally told that if I want to hear his mix of "Stage One", to pick up his CD, because it was never put on vinyl. This is definately a bootleg copy.

yeah...Grimreaper has been good friends with Orkidea for like 17 years...and he's pretty much told him the same thing...

I've been trying to find a rip of this one forever. Still haven't found it.

cd decks did exist in 99, they existed in 96 maybe earlier, cos thats when i had them.

oakenfold probably got a white label vinyl off of orkidea or hooj choons.

ben lost would be the best person to ask i reakon

Posted by nj roddy on Jun-26-2004 00:24:

i did mean common place in clubs when making that comment...

i certainly dont remember oaky using cds in 99 or any other a list dj for that matter

You would be correct mate - almost everything at that point used to be pressed onto acetates to play. This was probs played by Oakey from an acetate just the same

Posted by searchdestroy_1 on Jun-26-2004 09:59:

This is def a fake copy. Dunno bout the Orkidea mix, but Markus said in Armind once his mix was never released in any format. I got a rip of it once but then lost it - i was gutted big time.

PvD was ... i remember him mentioning in an interview how he quickly had to put 'Another Way' onto CDR one night so he could play it at Mayday the following day.

Posted by Matty V on Jun-26-2004 13:40:

Yer but back in the day oakey could get whatever he wanted on vinyl

Posted by DJPrototypeX on Jun-26-2004 14:29:

well.. fake or not.. someones gonna pay a hefty amount for this.. i'm still leanin towards the fake

Posted by nj roddy on Jun-26-2004 19:59:

i also reakon if it was a bootleg orkidea mix would just be on there alone.... thats the experience ive found with bootlegged tunes i reakon it might be real

Posted by DragonsEmerald on Jun-26-2004 22:13:

Well if both Orkidea and Markus Schulz claim that their remixes were never put on vinyl, then obviously its a bootleg copy. Why would they both lie? And besides, the Markus Schulz remix was done in 2002 (I believe) and the Orkidea remix is from 1999. Oakenfold couldn't have played a vinyl from 2002 back in 1999.

Just as Oakenfold hammered Tastexperience's "Highlander" on acetates he could have very well hammered "Stage One" on an acetate as well.

i think jerry (aka red jerry) would be the best person to ask since it was him who signed the track and managed hooj choons for the good 13 years that it existed. ben will probably know or could find out for sure though!

everyone should just report the item to ebay, enough complaints and attention brought to it should be enough to have it removed.

$132 right now and endin today.. ouch..
