hmm... my local radio station used to do this same prank too. I wonder who came up with it first. They stopped because it started getting bad. One time this girl had the station call her husband and he ended up sending the flowers to a GUY! With the note saying something like, "you've opened my mind and my heart.." She hung up and he said something like thanks for ruining my life and then he hung up.

She got cheated on during the whole year by someone she trusted and loved, what is there to laugh? Could someone please explain?

I dont think anybody is laughing about the fact that the guy was unfaithfull to the girl. Whats funny is how unexpectedly the guy got busted (on the air with thousands of listeners) thats whats funny
