The Damage after the park

How many of you have dead cell phones now?

about 2 hours into the central park event I wanted to call someone and I put my hand into my pocket only to find out my phone is swimming in a pool of water

ouch

I think I need a new wallet too!

ph man sorry to hear about ur phone...

yups...my boi's wallet is gone...at least his nextel was aiite...and i initially thoguth my digital camera was also...it took two hours to get out all the moisture which had accumulated...all the pics were coming out kinda foggy xP

my friend almost LOST her afterparty ticket overall cuz it got soo soggy that it separated at the perforations...and then it took forever for the scanner to pick up the barcode at spirit...ugh

Everything was fine exept for my camera. It has this moist stot on the display screen.(btw way no kidding about finding water in the mic)

my camera didnt get too wet. it didnt want to power up at first when i got home, but after an hour or so it did. I didnt take any pics anyway. Didnt want to risk taking it out.

I was taking pics and vid throughout the whole event.

My camera stopped working for some periods of time and then it came back to life off and on.

Canon s230

I dried it up in my car by the vents, and today it works like it was working before.

Everything was wet, and everything still works.
Nothing wrong with my cell.

luckily i survived the night with no damage to any of my personal belongings. phew!

Well, this is funny.
My phone broke (just the screen didn't work) bc of the rain at practice once, didn't bother buying a new one.
Last night, it got soaked, when I went to turn it on after going to a bar, it worked

me and my buddy both have the exact same camera. BOTH of them were dead by the time we left central park. i REALLY wanted to have them at spirit as i found a spot on one of the slut boxes during PvD's opening and had a birds eye view of the entire club: PvD, crowd, and visuals. boooooo

i'm suprised none of you guys used a small ziploc sandwich size bag to keep your phones, cameras, and wallets dry.

the entire time i was thinking how glad i was i remembered to do that.

i was so surprised that my phone didnt die...yet it caught so much water...there was this one point in which i put my belt clip to my sanyo 4500 inside my boxers over my shorts...and smart ole me i was wringing out the front of my shirt...it was great a nice pool dribbling down my stomach right into my nuts where my cell phone was safely secured...then i realized my phone just caught a grand rapids of water so i go to open it up and yea bitch is still kickin...so 0 damage for me...
