lets educate the n00b, eh fellas!?!?

Recently I've become more and more interested in politics, world issues and the like. However, for the last couple of years I haven't really been keeping up with what's going on (hey I'm young, we're not supposed to care about that stuff yet). I was watching FOX News and CNN- have you guys noticed that FOX seems really... pro-bush? pro-war? and CNN to me seems... at least a little more centered on giving both sides.. Anyways I was hoping you guys could give me a little insight on the whole iraq deal. Tell me why you like/dislike bush. What is he doing in Iraq, and why is he doing it. why do you like kerry instead? What does he plan on doing with the whole war on terrorism? what do you think of our occupation of iraq? what do you think of North Korea's nuclear "threats?" Please include if you consider yourself liberal or conservative, democrat or republican (or whatever). thanks

A good idea would probably be to start browsing thread topics and I'm sure you'll find the answers to all of your questions and then some.

I tend to lean conservative on most issues.

That's about as wide as the Grand Canyon. Might want to narrow the topic a little. We can work with you a little if the flamers don't try to suck the life out of you first.

Would help immensley if you stated your own opinion first. That's how it normally works. Folks against you flame, and folks for you back you up. You need to take a position. Otherwise, it's a bunch of so what.

So I hear that Bush is some war monger that is occupying Iraq for no reason.. I hear that Saudi Arabia (our main oil source?) is giving haven to terrorists, and they're supposed to be allies? I also heard Bush wants to continue relations with the Saudi's because he and the oil companies are profiting from them? so really bush is just corrupt?

why is it that so many countries hate us?

please feel free to correct any of the hearsay I just recited.

Perhaps you should watch the movie Fahrenheit 911,that might help you understand teh whole situation better.

I would answer all those with "yes", but that is just my opinion.

As a born again aethieist who was born into protestantism who dosent vote what the F*** is stuff like this doing on a music orientated website.

I have to laugh guys. Just to let you know there is a law which was passed in the UK around ten years ago, I don't remember the exact date but I was talking about it with a fellow student last month. This law prohibits people from gathering together in a crowd (crowd being a number of people of which is not defined, only a crowd, 3 maybe lol) and listening to music without having aquired a licence and permission from whichever local authority/government to do so. This effectively outlawed what we used to call outdoor or ware house raves and what are now called "illeagal" raves. Politics should have nothing to do with music, this is the sort of thing that happens when the two mix. This is oppression and opposes democracy and freedom. Anyway I believe that one should never discuss religion or politics in a pub/public house or drinking establishment. Thats my rule, and I don't even like pubs.
