Posted by alzalam on Jun-30-2004 20:48:

thanks john! downloading at around 7k right now. I can upload it to mine for a while. I will post again when I get it up.

Ok so i see you aimed for the mark norman style but more full..

acid is mint, i wish you added a riff with some stabbing synth maybe in the intro.

fx are mint!.

bass is good , but not sure listening on crappy headphones.

you aimed for a floor killer, think it turned out nice

for the people who have no patience, i uploaded it to my ISP webspace, though like after 7 downloads the limit get reached and have to wait till next day, but for now get it from

13 kb/s nehneh nehnehneh!

MINT! This reminds me of John Askew style stuff, which in my experience as a DJ just demolishes the dancefloor. Bass and beat is mint, effects and synthy stabs are awesome, and the edits are really nice. Can picture the buildups definitely rocking in a major way, can't wait to play this out.

Awesome dude, toss me a msg on msn so we can workout a schedule for a little collab action

this track is fucking insane in the membrain...wow...

Posted by broken silence on Jul-01-2004 05:45:

Hmm....a little jaded on this track to be honest. The production value is just superb, absolutely pro- excellent job.

But as far as the tracks concerned...it just didn't do it for me. It seemed like a really long buildup to something- I kept on thinking that it was going to WHAM explode into something more melodic..which would be just insane, considering that the buildup would be just crazy. But it never did... I guess its just different tastes, or a different style of trance, but it doesn't do it for me.

Still, amazing production, I bet for the style its absolutley ace--

thanks man, glad u think the quality is good. this track is really a dub of another *full* tune i made, with a melody and the whole works, but i could not put that track here as it is due for release soon.

so its like the pumping version without the riff, but still works well. good to use for DJs sets when you've left the melodic stuff and gone into the more hard katana style stuff

we can mirror this for a while

pretty nice track. i'd like to hear the non-dub version, cuz going by the dub version it must be hella phat

Posted by alexpea on Jul-01-2004 13:46:

Where is the low frequenzies? The track is very good though!! Sort of nice with a non-arpeggiated melody for a change. And I can hear you're experimenting with different musical-techniques in this one. Very cool.

Posted by JohnOC on Jul-01-2004 13:54:

cheers for the updated link extalin, much appreciated.

low frequencies?!?!? u play this in a club and that kick would destroy any system i promise! any more bass and it would get waaaaaay to dirty :P

Hey John

Yes it sounds pro indeed. I have some other work of yours, but you have improved as well over the months.

Starts with nice synthy fx. Subtle choir pads. Just before the 4/4 kick, that kick buildup is not really my taste.

Coming hihats at 2:40 are nice. Now waiting actually at what will come..

Yeh this must be a dub, this is just the alarm, a warning for what is coming hehe. A bit simple.. But it's very energetic, I like it. I bet there are loads of djs who want to play this in their set.

Good work, as expected

-Jay

thanks jay, yep it is really supposed to be simple-not the style of a track that has a melody. just purely for hyping the crowd..middle of set type thing. simple and effective! it works

Posted by MK-S on Jul-01-2004 15:27:

Listened to this last night quietly (obviously not doing it justice) and then put it on full blast today! Very pumpin indeed, I like. Would be very interested to hear the non-dub version

Posted by Sebraa on Jul-01-2004 15:58:

love ACID elements -> PRO! Little bit boring .. or like something is missing but quality and buildup is very very good!
ONE MORE LEAD sound maybe

overview -> 8/10

3.30 part -> roof goes nice

Something between "Sunday Afternoon" & "Traffic"

EDITED: when its DUB then I understand

Quality track mate - dark and driving and definitely one going straight onto cd-r to play out

Great work as usual dude
