Unhappy I miss England

Its been raining steadilly all day...and for the last 2 weeks. Literally. Constantly overcast.

Reminds me of my (ancestrial) home of Derbyshire County, Sheffield.

In 2007 I have the option of requesting a new duty assignment. Since the Dept of Defense seems to think its not needed to have US Army posts in the UK...I'll HAVE to request Deutchland.

I cant wait to go to the REAL Gatecrasher in Sheffield, Heaven, Godskitchen, Bed, Republic...oh man...and Im stuck here in Colorado Springs with no club scene what so ever...

I need an e-hug.

Posted by Shizane2002 on Jun-30-2004 20:12:

Yeah...many times. My dad is retired USAF and we were stationed in Germany from 89 to 92. We took trips all over Europe those 3 summers. And every year we went to England.

Posted by Floorfiller on Jun-30-2004 20:13:

ah ok...that's cool. i've always wanted to travel in europe extensively...someday i will..

When you go...I KNOW you will visit Holland and England right?

Posted by La5eR on Jun-30-2004 20:26:

Yeah for the middle north american continent its been one wet late winter/early spring. I think here in MN the avg rainfall was exceeded by 13 cm. I was affraid the window wells would swell but thank God for enticing my dad to install a trench so that wouldnt happen.

I love this weather. Its the reason why I started this thread.

I also love sun though...theres nothing better than washing, waxing, and detailing my car and finishing up by evening time...just in time to go cruise around the city on a nice dusk setting.

I worship the sky. I would have been a great Roman.

Are you talking about Gatecrasher One?

WTF did all that change mean? Im afraid to ask the gc message board...for fear of hate attacks...evil wankers.

Whats up with the change? Whats gone and new?

Funny that you mention it, but it's raining every damn day here. Great for lawns and all, but sucks when you get off work with the impending thunder and lightning.

Yeah it ain't bad, most tourists seem to enjoy themselves down here. Not a huge clubbing scene though... well not as big as the UK I imagine.

Well I could've just said "shit". The "house" is superfluous.

Posted by Shizane2002 on Jul-01-2004 08:10:

LOL...my squad leader calls everything "shitbird"...like literally everything.

If we have a task....hes like "Lets go take care of this shitbird"

Its a mind trip. He always calls everyone "Chauncy" as well...wtf.

Does Melbourne get Triple J radio? I have a Gatecrasher rip from JJJ in Australia...and the DJ never says what city hes currently in. Totally unlike our extremely pathetic DJs here in the States.

America has the worst radio.

Yeah Melb gets JJJ. It's not a bad station. We don't have any electronica-dedicated radio stations . JJJ is a sortof popular station for the alternative (ie. non-pop) genres.

Better than what we have.

If you only knew....there needs to be a ranting forum here...my blood is boiling just thinking about it...

Ahhh... *goes to bbc.co.uk/radio1 and listens to live feed*

Sheffield isn't in the county of Derbyshire, it's in Yorkshire (next one up)

As for missing england, well all we have is rain anyway, June has been a terrible month, barely a day about 20c and about 4x the average rainfall
