Sasha-Involver(review)

While I was reviewing this CD my lights went out and I just spent over half an hour typing. But hell that means more listening for me lol.

K first of all let me start off by saying this album is AMAZING. Its a real inspirational album. Not much floor stomping here but very creative.

Grand National-Talk amongst yourselves
This track starts out with a nice pad, then builds up to a nice beat and a cool bass. This track is the second most inspirational track because my friend and I tool around trying to get a trance/house/rock/chill out sounding style. Around the middle of the song these nice male vocals come up, then goes to a solo and back to the bass and drum.

Sphongle-Dorset Perception
As some of you know I am a big fan of psyTrance. And I like it even more when psytrance artist get creative with other styles (Infected mushroom-converting vegetarian). When I found out Sphongle had a track in this album I could not wait to hear it. This is a very nice track if you like creativity. It has a nice beat (kinda like The Crystal Method) and some amazing guitar playing. The guitar has a very Spaniard sound. Around the end it goes to a great combination with the guitar and some bongos.

Petter-These Days
This track is short and has a nice synth to it. Doesnt really build up to much because its the build up for the next song.

UNKLE-What are you to me?
I first heard of UNKLE back when I played ss3 for the ps2. This song starts out with some great male vocals and a nice beat. Then it starts to buildup with the male vocals, bass, and some nice snares. And then gets to the synth from Petter-These days. A really great track especially with the male vocals.

The youngsters-smile
This is probably my favorite track next to Burma. The song starts out with the ending pad from UNKLES-what are you to me? Then these synths come up and then the drums. The drums really remind me of all the club music I used to listen to as a little boy back in the early 90s.. Around the middle of the song a nice synth bass with some effects come up (stuttering). Then the synth bass kicks off. Sounds really great with the beat. Then a few seconds after the synth bass kicks off some AMAZING vocals come up. I cant seem to make out what he is saying but it sounds really good with everything going on while the vocals playing.

Spooky-belong
This song starts off with some females vocals and a tiesto sounding beat. This song really sounds like something BT and Tori Amos would make. A synth bass comes up and then starts to chill out with a synth and a pad. Then goes back to the synth bass and drum. Around the end, the song releases some real emotional sound. The vocals change, amazing pad, synth. Sounds REALLY great. Like I said sounds something like BT would make.

UNKLE-In a state
Hehehe another UNKLE track. Songs starts out with some effects from the vocals from Spooky-belong. Then a nice beat comes up(I think the one from the previous song). Around the middle a nice house beat comes up and leads to more vocal effects. Really sound amazing with this guitar playing in the background. Again some emotional comes up and the vocals and guitar are in perfect harmony. Around the end the beat from burma comes up and sounds REALLY amazing.

Burma-Lostep
Im sure most of you heard this song by now. But im also sure most of you havent heard the Sasha version. This track REALLY takes the cake(I mean look at my signature). I love the bass, synth, drums, EVERYHING. I really love this song. Pure genius and really beautiful. Im not gonna review this song im just gonna keep bitching about how amazing this song is.

Felix da housecat-watching cars go by
Really nice track here. Really reminds me of something Adam Freeland would make. Starts off with a nice rock music sound with some vocals that sounds like Adam Freeland-we want your soul. Then leads to a nice house beat with a cool synth. Really funky song and great effects with the vocals.

Ulrich-on my own
TOTAL inspiration right here. Like I said my friend and I try to combine house/trance/ rock/chill out. Starts off with a nice fast beat and then leads to a very cool rockish bass(I can imagine my friend and I doing something like this). I think the Bass really makes this song great. Around the middle things change up a bit and some vocals come up and the snare drum is used a bit more. Really nice finishing track for the album.

Well people there you go enjoy and GO BUY THIS.

Would you expect anything less? That's not to say that I don't find it absolutely amazing, but he is the man, afterall. When I played the CD for the opening hour at Eli's Cribb in Orlando last week, people who had no idea what was going on came in and were captivated... probably the best early crowd I've ever had, and this is in the 9-10PM hour!

Thank you to Sasha for raising the bar and giving us all something to aspire to. His attention to detail leaves me in awe, wondering how one producer can have so much insight into another artists work.

Dancing Dude

Even though it repeats an instrument already used in a busier part earlier in the song, the last break in Burma absolutely floors me. I just try to imagine hearing it in a big room somewhere with wicked intelligent lighting.

My soundcard kicks ass and I have 5.1 dolby. with my soundcard I can mimic the sound of a certain place. Lets say I wanna hear Sashas album in a bathroom or opera house. Hehe i can do that. As for lighting...will a strobe light do
