-- Boring final.
Boring final.
Well..this is what it all boils down to.A home team thats been riding on luck and an UBER defensive team that attacks only when the opposition have simply nothing left.
Oh well...maybe I'm just pissed that the team I bet on is out and I've lost a possible sum of $1000 had i won.
I mean.GREECE.GREECE....they should be like going home early preparing for the olympics or something!!
Dont watch then you fucken knob.
Ohh Btw learn a thing or 2 about the game of football before you call it boring
Portugal been riding on luck???Are you blind? Have you even seen any Portugal game?? The have been playing great and hold the ball more than any other team, way over 50% then opossing teams. And they're defense has been playing good also. And Greece, they deserved to be in the final, although the do play defensively the take advantage of their scoring oppurtunities!
Greece were lucky not to be thrashed 5-1 by Russia but you need to have a slice of luck like that to make it so far. Which major finalist never had luck on their side?
Anyways, yeah I've always supported underdogs and whatnot but have always felt when the knockout stages roll around its time for the big boys to start playing. Wc 2002 was an anti-climatic disappointment thanks to teams like South Korea and Turkey. I dont expect underdogs to roll over and give up but I just don't enjoy it when you have too many upsets. It devalues them in my opinion. USA - Portugal, Portugal- South Korea, Italy-South Korea, France-Senegal, Greece, etc... So many upsets these days I think the term "upset" should be redefined.
Either way, Gluck Greece! and Portugal! I hope for a good show and for Greece to come out of their defensive shell a bit more often.
after seeing that greece qualified for the final, i just lost all the excitment. not to take merit away from the greek that have a tactically superb team, and some players that are very under-rated, but it would be so much better for portugal to play against a 'favourite' team. now we're kinda forced to beat them, and if we don't it'll be an humilation again. which seems likely. very likely.
i'm getting fed up of the tournament too.. but that's ok since this is just the last game
I don't think it will be boring! Portugal played very well against the Dutch team and Greece have already beaten Spain, Portugal, France and Czech Republic
...
boring it will not
all game portugal attack will
a lot of goal threads will be
attack greece hard, we must
Ppl wake up. No team will play full attack from minute 1 tommorow. A final is a crucial game. Portugal will not attempt an all out attack against a defense already proven to be more than most teams can handle only. My guess is both teams will start the game carefully & then proceed accordingly.

I'm hoping Greece will win. They have set some excellent results versus the top teams of Europe (and with all respect: Portugal is NOT one of them)
I've seen some matches of the Greek team, and all I can say is that they play brilliant football. They may not have stars like Figo (where was he this tournament?), Zidane or whoever, but when they attack they do it efficiently and effectively.
Go Greece!
