Hey guys, i need an accurate bpm counter to guide me during mixes, and ahh, yes yes ive heard it all its best to do it with ear, but sometimes i am doing quick fades and bpm read out is absolutely convenient for me to quickly get the beats down.. which such product do you guys reccomend particularly?

i was looking into the redsound micro bpm, because it looks convenient and versatile....ive heard positive comments about it, but still want to be sure, perhaps by anyone here whose maybe experienced with it or even used it before.

can someone help me and tell me whether or not i can trust the quality and accuracy of this product? or is it just another so-and-so , approximate bpm counter...

...and please dont reply saying bpm counters are for newbies, because im not asking WHO do u reccomend it for, im saying WHICH ONE do u reccomend...lol

i agree, its better not to use one. what happens when you come accross a setup including a djm600..? you use the bpm counter on that at your own peril. its usually there or there abouts, but its far from fast/accurate.

if numark made a stand-alone beat counter, like the one that is in their cd decks, then i would reccomend that. its stupidly accurate and stupidly fast. but unfortunatly, i dont think they do.

Well I've seen this product before, I don't know anything about it, my advice would be IF you REALLY want it, then buy it and if it doesn't do the job, return it and say some crap about false advertisement, I would still recommend using your own ears, there better and more fun, plus you will never leave them at home ....unless your a very sick disturbing person, but anyway you should just keep practicing, you will get faster and faster and then be able to get 99% beatmatch within 15 seconds or so.

i'm not sure which ones the have the new beat counter in, i know its in the axis 9 which is one of the latest single cd decks from numark.

i suggest having a look in your manual and see if it has "beatkeeper III", if so then it has it. apparently it's widely regarded as the best beat counter on the market.

you still need to remember that even within the .1 of a beat on a beat counter, there is still a bit of work to do as its not accurate enough to pull off a tight mix on its own. this is why it is better to learn by ear, that way you will also learn to be able to tell what to do quicker. the more you do it, the more your ears get trained to pick out the necessary bits to work out which track is going faster, and how much of an alteration it needs.
