Ok so armin fuckin comes to canada once again and doesnt even swing out west. He plays in ottawa, toronto, montreal, and even queerbec city like what is the problem with big time dj's not comin out west when there in the east ie tiesto armin ferry fuck pretty much ne one mauro was in T-o just a few weeks ago i know its not easy to bring djs in and i guess we are a small market ie calgary edmonton but calgary is getting larger and does it not seem that every big name show is packed to the rafters! Im gettin kinda tired of waitin every 3-6 months for some to come who actually excites me. Bah im spent

Did someone try to book him for the west and he didn't want to come? Or was he just not booked, which wouldn't be Armins fault. Plus I would guess that he has busy schedule in the summer.

alot of these DJ's are greedy bastards and won't show up for less that 6,00us just to play not to mention a flight and 4 star hotel and fancy dinner etc on top of the mix. So if you do the math it works out to be at least $10,000 to bring these guys out at least. Tiesto is astronomical and not worth it unless you are benson and hedges and have $30,000 us to throw away.

Armin is a unique situation because he is bound to a touring contract (compared to a Nike shoe endorement for an athlete)

YOU ARE PLAYING FREAKING RECORDS MAN!!!!! To defend MIKE the agents can be a royal pain (again they are just trying to do their job too)
Eventually people will realize that these huge fees just won't fly and costs will have to be reduced or else these guys just won't get booked period.

A DJ is a dime a dozen and I love Armin as much as the next guy but there is a limit and there is a point where you have to say no.

armin was in vancouver, what, 2 monthes ago? and a few monthes before that he was in wancouver as well.

tiesto comes once a year, so armin should too. think about it.

as for djs charging alot of $... yes its true. the only way to book them for cheaper is to know them or be working on a musical project with them (ala shy brothers).

hooking into a tour is important too... flying someone direct form europe is alot more expensive than getting them to fly from their last event (somewhere in n. america) to your location.

marco v, j00f,rank 1 have all been through the past couple months as well

But yeah, they're great djs and all, but that's insane the prices they demand sometimes. booking agents over here say, forget it, most times, because out west, its hard to fill events to break even.
