An Idea of a DJ to get downunder
I think we need
Sander Kleinenberg down here in oz..
after hearing his Sensation 2004 Set..
he fukn kicks ass..
tight as mixing.. and sweet tunes...nice bootlegs
etc. etc.
something different, would be good to get Sander here..
Yeah, he's consistently churned out top-notch sets over the past couple of years and easily ranks as one of my favourites. He came out here twice last year, so hopefully he can come back out again this year (preferably a club tour, cos I missed his Metro gig). From memory for the last two years he's come out in November (or around then at least?) so maybe keep an eye out for his tour dates around that time.
Also, if you get the chance check out his Live @ Fokused set from a couple of months ago. Haven't heard his Sensation set yet, but the Fokused set is one of the best couple of sets I've heard this year.
Sander is the man!!! This is one of the few DJ's that can get away with throwing in pretty much any track in a club and watch it go off!
I love his style and his diversity, would be awesome to get him back down here !
I was in metro at his renaissance everybody tour last year.. his otherwise impeccable performance was cut short due to erick fucking morillo demanding to play early otherwise he'll walk out off the gig.
can't really put blame on FE to grant morillo's wish because most of the crowd were house fans .. business-wise it was a sound decision.
he did play lots of excellent tracks and bootlegs in two hours.. JT - rock your body (sander k remix) , madonna - music (sander k bootleg), jewel - stand (scumfrog's hooker&hash remix), white stripes - one nation army (id? remix)
apparently after his gig @ metro gus cullen took him to his club (161) and he took over the decks there .. what a sweet surprise .. wish i went ...
will definitely see him again when he's due to return!!

hmm I wouldn't have been surprised if a promoter told a big international DJ to sodd off if he was making those sort of requests. It's been done before.
I think we need...
John Digweed
its been a while

what about sanders recent nerd mix?
oh yer lets make a stormer of a tune, then fuck it up by making the middle part homosexual.
digweed owns sander.
but id see sander still (soon?
)
if we're to go to the housier styles, i have a greater affinity for danny howells. sander's sets may be funkier, but howells is more versatile and imo more skilled technically. his 24:7 release still remains as one of my fav cds.
Sander has ability, no doubt. His Metro gig was rocking like nobody's biz until t'was cut short due to large ego's and downright stupidity. Nonetheless, that set was top, released Uber, Jacques and Fosh's mix of EBTG's Missing onto my ears. Loved it ever since.
That said, Sander has severly taken a bad turn, his mix of NERD is garbage and his mix of Janet Jackson is equally as iffy. Shame, coz when the boys hot, he's hot.
And as for Mr. Howells; set of last year for me. Now fuck that was a party.
