Anyone interested in opening up a MIRC Channel for LEECHING Trance Tunes ???

I know that most ppl use Audiogalaxy to get their tunes (I do too) but Mirc is another very efficent way to get tunes and it's easier to regulate because ppl can setup Fserves in the channel. The best part of using IRC is that u can chat while u download your tunes.

I have been using Mirc for over 4 years and would like to start a mirc channel for TranceAddicts where we can not only chat but also give ppl a chance to leech tunes. If anyone out there is interested contact me.

PS. IRC is really easy to learn (and there are script out there which make it even easier to use). Also if you are on a fast connection (T3,T1 or Cable) and would like to share tunes then u can become operators of the channel.

Anyway, just throwing out another idea in the effort to make trance music available to everyone out there

The problem with the american network is for me, that i cant connect from germany :/

This sounds like apretty good idie, i think the best server to put our chan in too will be irc.dal.net !!!
And finnaly we will have a good mirc chan where we can leech trance and other nice stuff

Kool...Seems like ppl like the idea of setting up a channel...I want to have a channel were ppl from this website (because almost everyone here is kewl ) can come and d/l music. The advantage in Mirc is that servers can setup queues (unlike FTP'z where the amount of users is limited and once ppl log on they keep downloading forever !) Do u guys think that we should limit the users on the channel to ppl who have registered with this site or make it available to everyone. The reason i ask is because at least then we don't have to worry about some idiot hacker out there who might want to take over or something else.

and i think the best server to put our chan in 2 will be DALNET
and about what you said about the difficulties to log on from Europe
i dont think thats true b/c the main server of the euaroDALNET
( irc.eu.dal.net we dont have to conect true the american server) is located in germany soo i dont think there will be problems conecting

now b/c #tranceaddict is allready registered by someone unknown we should come up with another name!

Okay...your turn to either give suggestions or to decide what u want the channel to be called. Also do u want the channel to be exclusive to the members of TranceAddicts ? Or open to the whole community ?

Also if anyone here knows anybody in the ripping scene plz contact them and ask if they will allow us to have a distro through the channel. I am currently quite busy with other projects (trance related) but i am willing to dedicate time to setup/run the channels (with other ops) and also to handle the distro side.

BTW If anyone wants to chat about the setup in detail plz ICQ me.

PS. To make a channel sucessfull we need SERVERS !!! So if u are on a T-3,T-1 or Cable Line then please step up and help. U don't need to know a thing about Mirc or Serving....We will teach u everything (and trust me it's easy)....

actually i wanna get things start but i have problem wth getting channel bots as u know dalnet is very vunerable to all kinds of irc attack and the channel services down very OFTEN.

I love irc. I've been IRCing for about 6 years. I'm usually on efnet tho. Swamper goes on efnet as well. But, I'll check out #tranceaddict on dalnet and see what's up.
