Pre Dinner for PVD
i think we should first decide on what kind of restaurant/bar
than come down to location, and so on
last time we went for sushi, at Azuma's, bit pricey but you have to treat yourself to nice things once in a while.
this time we will go for something easier on the wallet.
suggestions?
how about a pub, fish and chips....
mexican food, chinese...
brainstorm session
plus, who is comming from out of town?
I'll be coming from Austin. We should get something easy on the stomach. I don't want to take a power crap in the middle of PvD's set.
TOO MUCH INFO.
You coming down to Houston to see PvD, James?
Not sure yet mate.. waiting to see how many friends from SA are gonna make it, then if it isn't too hard to organise I'll be there with gas mask on

Mai's looks pretty good unless someone knows of a good italian place with resonable prices.
I'm coming in from College Station. I don't know the area that well so I can't suggest anything. It's been a long time since I've been to Houston.
Mai's Restaurant sounds OK. I really like the Pho.
Asian or Italian sounds fine with me.
there is mia bella downtown right off of one of the stops of the train. I'm not sure if it can accomodate all of us but they have one of the best calamari appetizers i've ever had. it literally just melts in your mouth. cooked just right. Or we can park by rich's early and then take the train to anywhere downtown and eat.
good point darren, seems for like a field trip than a meet up.
Hey Mike
that Mai's restaurant, are you a regular there.
talked to one of my vietnamese friends, she told food is good but the wait staff can be quite rude unless they know you already. do you think we might need to make a resv depending on how many people show up
which leads me to....
can we get a quick head count of who is down for this
*raises hand*
You tell me where, and I'll be there.
*Raised hand*
i'm there

mais is cool. there's parking right across the street, so that shouldnt be a problem. you guys could also go to van loc, which is basically right next door.
Jack in the Box comes to mind....by all means its just PVD His cocky ass prolly wont even show.
*pessimistic mode on*

[just breaking your balls]
Mai's seems like a nice in-expensive place. I'm down.
