Talking My new mixer has just arrived.....back to the old skool...

Old skool baby
Remember this beast nem?

An Intimidation Blue 19"
Dates back to the mid 90s- saw it on ebay mega cheap so had to get it - cost me 50 uk pounds.... Its immaculate- looks like its hardly been used- even has the manual and the original warranty card.
Was the best selling club mixer in the uk in 1996 and i think the original retail was something like $700.

Ive used a lot of mixers in my time- in clubs and home setups- id put this right up there with the cloud CXM modular, which is my all time favourite mixer.
The sound is phenomenally warm- and the kills are by far the best i have used.

4 input 2 channel
Rotary 3 band eq + kills (eq is also total kill)
4 outputs (main, record, monitor + balanced)
FX send/return loop (can also double as an third source input channel)
Funky dancing Led meters with clip lights
19" rack
Nice faders
Punch in+ out buttons
Eq/kills affect the pfl (should be on every mixer IMHO)

Another top feature is when you pan the channels- it only pans the mids and trebles- the bass stays in the centre- top idea.

Bit of a mini review- and im sure some of you will think its crap/too old, but its everything i need for home use- id gladly use this in a club too.

Looks simple.

But then again, so does mine, and i love it!

Congrats on your new mixer. Enjoy it!

I saw one at guitar center on monday. They wanted $380 for that thing. But on the other hand it looks unique and cool.

Very cool mixer. Glad you found it for such a bargain.

That looks like a perfect mixer to use when your wasted ...very simple to use so when your head is fried, you can still mix it up.

OMG, now thats brings back memories, I haven't seen that mixer since I was like 14, I've only used it once, which was at a shitty club, but I liked the simplicity of it, but I didn't look beyond that, I was like 14 or so and didn't really know what was good or bad, except Techs was THEE deck to use.

Whoa..!!..I've seen that before! I think some1 I know who got into hip-hop mixing used that mixer!... he spraypainted it red tho.. meh.

Often the classic vintage gear sounds and feels the best. ENJOY IT!
