Editing an Audio Cd?
how can i get a cda file off a cd and into an editing program such as cool edit?
cool edit should have an extract audio from cd option
How can you store your music in cda anyway?
.CDA is just windows' interpretation of the .wav files on a CD that are burned in an audio CD format (vs. data cd) - windows does this becuase it's crappy
you can't drag and drop the .cda files from your disk.. you need a ripper to rip it to .wav and then you can edit it in your audio editor.. I recommend CDEX (freeware) to rip/encode your CDs..
In some intelligence editors you can drag and drop too
can u retain the original sound quality with cdex??
i havnt really had time to fiddle around with it but and at first attempt, the sound quality was reduced
ill play around with it
cda's are like a shortcut to the wav that windows uses so that you cant just copy the cda's across. thats where CDEX comes into play as aforementioned
