Yahoo just launched a new mail service...Hotmal's just trying to catch up...google e mail is just in it's testing phases now.

No what i'm trying to say is that Gmail isn't ready yet...only in experimental stages at the moment...while Yahoo! is already up and running...Yahoo right now is their direct competition - otherwise they would give you much more space like a gig. hey they're not multi-billionaires yet! wait for that IPO and they will be tho and google's execs are the farthest from fat cats... cant say what will change after the IPO but Google is VERY different from Microsoft...

google was first, they announced gmail and yahoo and hotmail jumped on the bandwagon... and yes gmail will be free...
