LMao i didnt know you could get drunk faster with a spoon
yeah, wtf is the spoon for?
and I had a few battle with this chick in high school about using a straw. She said it gets you drunk quicker by allowing you to bypass some of the taste.
I think I was just arguing with her to look at her boobies though, cause I don't really remember what else we argued about.
Shot-gun it.
Then do a few more rounds of shot gunning and you are prime before going out

Originally posted by Lira You drink/eat the beer as if it were soup, and it's recommended that you make some noise because this way the alcohol evaporates because of the pressure and it goes quicker to your brain. I'm not sure "evaporate" is the right word in English, but you got the idea. The same phenomenom happens with the straw.
i think absorb is the word you're looking for
Yes, you absorb it quicker, but that's because it... erm... becomes air... because of the difference of pressure. It's the same reason why deodorant is always cold, for example, as I recall it.

Originally posted by Lira As it increases the rate of absorption, you can get drunk with lesser amounts of beer. At least, that's what I understood from my class. The same way you can drink tang before drinking alcohol so you don't get drunk (I wonder why someone would do it though).

Originally posted by UWM I completely see your point, all I'm saying is that the amount of beer that would evaporate and be absorbed would in comparison to what you consume be negligible.

I was looking for some info on google and all I found was:
lol @ that pic.

drink it out of a baby bottle
Shotguns, beer bongs and funnels are the way to go.
Man for some reason I think it has got to be disgusting

Lets have a race. You drink beer out of a straw, and I will do beer bongs. We'll see who gets drunker faster.
Here is the only thing that increases absorption: carbonation.
Now, if you hold in a spoon: The metal of the spoon will rapidly help the beer reach room temperature, and we all know that CO2 bonds when its cold and under pressure. Now its not under pressure and its warm. Also alcohol evaporates at room temperature.
The reason snifters and such exist is for tasting wines and coffees. The aerosol effect makes it ripcurl into your nose as well thus letting you taste and smell everything at once.
Now for the straw: Thats just stupid.
