Exclamation ATTN: Everyone who is going to go see Sasha....

I saw Sasha on July 3rd, and he played this one song that I can't get out of my mind!!!!!! I've been downloading a bunch of recent live sets of his, in hopes of hearing that song again, but i'm not having any luck!!!

I'll try to describe it:

It's a slow, progressive song, no vocals... and it has these wierd, hypnotic, high pitched bells that go off throughout the entire song. The bells stand out alot, so when you hear it, you will know what I'm talking about. I saw James Holden a couple months ago, and he also played this song!

Please.... everyone... keep your ears open for this song. I'm hoping one of you can ID it for me... or atleast enjoy it as much as I did!!!!!!!!!!!

Have fun everyone!!!

I can't really explain it. It's kinda on the dark side... and then those hypnotic bells come on.

It's not a fast song that u can dance your ass off to... u know what I mean? It's just a trippy, demented track (if that makes any sense).

As long as I'm not locked in KH as a result of some mix up I'll be sure to listen for it and jump up and down when it is played.

Maybe it is:

Sasha & James Holden - Bloodlock

That track was a part of a Sasha set broadcast on july 3rd 2004 (and to be premiered on 2HP.ca Radio on Saturday July 10 2004).

Oh, I know this song... it's #8 on Sasha's "Airdrawndagger" cd... very nice track, but too bad it's NOT the song I'm looking for.

Hopefully my song will be on the set you're going to broadcast! Can't wait to hear it!

Did he play that remix of Hawke - Party people in his latest gdj set because that is a solid track!

Posted by The Highroller on Jul-10-2004 05:57:

are you sure it doesn't have a really distorted vocal? because i know of a track that fits that description.

I'm 100% sure it didn't have vocals.

Ya, nice track... but kinda old.

I'm thinking if Sasha played the song last week, it must be pretty new. Keep in mind that the hypnotic, high pitched bells stand out ALOT in this song!

Another nice track... #3 on his "Involver" cd... but, that's not it either. It's NOT on the cd.

RYUKU UNDERGROUND - SERAGAKI PT2 (QUIVVER)(BAROQUE) he's been playing this quite a bite apparently... wicked track in my opinion...
although it has a bit of a female chant... its minimal though... might be it
if thats not it... check newer stuff by Luke Chable or Matthew Dekay... he tends to play all of they're tracks... hope this helps

Well, I'll do a search on soulseek for that song tonight when I get off work, but the song I'm talking about has no female chant AT ALL, so I doubt that's the right song.

The only thing that stands out from my song are the hypnotic, high pitched bells.

You're right though, it might be a Chable or Dekay song....

Ok you guys, I'm off to work, and by the time I get back, you guys will all probably be gone to see Sasha already...

...so I won't be here to answer anymore questions about my song.... but EVERYONE PLEASE keep your ears open for it, and help me figure out what it's called!!!!!!!!

^^^im just interested where you got the sentence from on your sig?

Posted by Kytracid on Jul-10-2004 18:05:

A shot in the dark here, but is it

Luke Chable and Smight - Dark Angel

Dark, progressive breakbeat with a high pitched tinkling bell sound that forms the melody throughout the song. There is vocals too, dark and hard to decipher. Maybe sasha has a instrumental version of the dark, dunno...still, great track even if it's not the one you're looking for.

To go or not to go. I'm just a little tired out that's all, I could go either way here.
