Review: John "00" Fleming, Filo & Peri, Atlanta

This is Jack on Scott's computer

John "00" Fleming and Filo & Peri were feckin' amazing

Start off pre-partying at Scott's. Most ATLTAs walk into the club while Dom was playing. Other FLTAs arrive and everyone just chilled until Bo came on.

Dom played a great set set but Bo came out and made the whole dancefloor jumping. Thank you Bo for dropping so much classics.....the TAs and the crowd loved it.

Then J00F came on and played an awesome set. Lots of tracks that we couldn't ID. At one point he was playing a track with an annoucement of "The Police are here and will shut the club down" and I think everyone in the club were fooled and starts "booing". Then boom the bass came back on and it was part of the track.

It's great chillin' with all the TAs again.....we prolly have 20 TAs around and had lots of fun

Tracks that I could ID:

Dom (Filo):
Agnelli and Nelson pres Ultra- Holding onto Nothing (PvD Edit)
Kyau and Albert- Velvet Morning (Aalto Remix)
Mark Norman- Faith

Bo (Peri):
Beastie Boys- Fight for your rights (JXL Remix)
Ralphie B- Massive
Whirlpool- Under the Sun (Solarstone Remix)

J00F:
Underworld- Born Slippy Nuxx (Oakenfold Remix)

Sorry for the shitty tracklist.....NO ONE could ID anything!!!

-Jack

I certainly hope you are joking. Filo and Peri BLEW J00F out of the water...J00Fs set was boring, and the dancefloor/club started to clear out after his first 3 songs...put me to sleep and we left about 5 songs into his set....It was almost as bad as his appearance on ASOT XXL a couple weeks ago, and i was not in for a repeat of that...snore

Also, the reason you probably couldnt identify most of the tracks was because they were original productions...

Time for my review! I got there pretty late (at the tail end of Filo & Peri because my friend got stuck at work ) but i got there and JOOF came on after about 20 mins or so. I've heard tons of trance from just listening to stuff on my pc and I couldn't ID anything JOOF dropped. Most of which was really banging and I thought was totally awesome. He totally worked the crowd and kept us begging for more, literally. But what really made the night better than Tiesto was this simple fact: THE MARK IS BETTER THAN ELEVEN50. I got my pic taken with JOOF (and some random chick) by stepping up into the dj booth, waiting for JOOF to finish mixing in his next track, tapping him on the shoulder, *snap*, shook his hand, got down.

WILL THAT EVER HAPPEN AT ELEVEN50 WITHOUT GETTING IMMEDIATELY ACCOSTED BY BOUNCERS WITH HARD-ONS FOR HASSLING PEOPLE?!?!?!?!? NO!!!!!

Also, the chick bartender in the back lounge area was hotter than any of the bartenders at Eleven50, hands down. Guys gotta back me up on this one (or you're gay )!!!

Oh yeah, and to the people who deal with www.stillvapor.com, its kinda down right now (as of 12:15pm, 7/11)...you might want to look into that! I want to see the pics!!!

Yeah, the stillvapor site has been down since yesterday. All of the sites that are on that server are down, so they are trying to fix it.

JOOF owned it...as did Filo and Peri. It is this type of response that is the problem with the scene these days, everyone is a critic. I enjoyed the shit out of all of their sets and am glad to have hosted everyone here. JOOF is even speaking of a quarterly residency here with Maddhatter, and we would LOVE to make that happen.

Some advice...have an open mind for other genres of EDM and do not be so close minded and quick to critisize...just a thought.

The reason no review is available yet is because everyone is still here:

LeeAnn & Pete's Birthday BBQ

and when I left the party, LeeAnn was singing the Badger Badger Muchroom Mushroom song I believe.

..but thank you for the enthusiasm.

We arrived somewhat late due to the fact that The Mark was impossible to find. We also caught the last 15-20 minutes of Bo's set, great job. What can I say about JooF that hasn't already been said. Simply fucking great. All the tracks had so much energy in them. Two of my friends that are the biggest house heads loved every single minute of it. The Mark is a nice and intimate venue, top notch sound, and the lasers were a very nice touch. My only complaint is that they need more bartenders, and 5 dollars for a beer.
As usual it was great seeing all the ATL-TA's. Nice meeting Ex-DJ, Cynthia, Greg, The Peach. And Happy Bday Leann.

John OO was awesome!!!! His tracks were original and it was so nice not to hear every popular trance song out there. His personality was great, his energy and enthusiasm rocked! He is one of my faves. Talking to him after the show was really cool. He even found anycrew's wallet. That was funny! Shouts to Hagan for bringing him to Atlanta. You put on a great show! Filo and Peri were awesome as well. I really enjoyed seeing them again. Glad Bo made it to party the next night too. I'll review that one later.

Hey Pete.... get Penny to register and tell her Hope said hi! I really enjoyed meeting her. She is a sweetie!

What a night this party was. Had a mini pre-party at my place and then all 7 of us piled into 2 cars and went to Sidebar to grab a bite to eat before the show. The Sidebar had wireless PS2 soccer and good beers. My chicken sandwich wasn't that good but it least it fed me. Nice of Bo and Kirsten to join us briefly.

We all went in shortly after Dom started his set and were amzed by how nice the Mark is. Beautiful contemporary lighting and furniture. I sneaked in a pic of the hottie bartender while taking a picture of Trey and Jack. Haha! The sound in the main dance floor was good and the chill out area to the right of it is pretty sweet too. Met a cool chick named Sabrina whom I always see at Hagen's parties so I introduced myself. Turns out she is a .NET developer. There were more similiarities I shared with her that was eerie.

Bo had a great set with on spot mixing. He really got the crowd prepped and ready for J00f. By the time J00f came on the dance floor was packed. The fresh tracks he threw down using only CDJ-1000s were a welcomed change. I danced the entire time from Bo's set to Joof's set and it all seemed pretty short because I had such a great time. There were many many TAs there and at one point the entire center of the dance floor were TAs.
