-- Luke Chable and Smight - Dark Angel

Thumbs up Luke Chable and Smight - Dark Angel

One of the hottest producers currently on the EDM scene, Luke Chable teams up with 'Cure Recordings' head hancho Smight to bring us a haunting, dark progressive breaks monster that is "Dark Angel".

A strong breakbeat leads off the track, after which some high pitched bells are introduced and the dark, almost dreamlike atmosphere begins to form. Twinkling hypnotic grooves fall from above, crystal sounds in the shape of teardrops break on the glass surface where the listener stands. Suddenly you realize you're in the middle of a eerie breakdown, lost now in this unwordly place as ethereal sounds swirl through the rarefied air, shifting in subtle harmonic tones as they lay the bed upon which a melencholic vocal male sample is added.

The solitary voice of a tortured angel floats above the top layer of sound, only a few words of his message decipherable to the listener below, through a tortured voice, he whispers of lighting "up your dark soul" and before you have a chance to resist, the wall of breaks come crashing back and the entire glass world that has been so perfectly crafted shatters under the pressure of the evocatively beautiful melodies that filter through, and capture the soul.

A bit more wordy then other reviews, but i couldn't help writting it as i sat here listening to the track. For those who love, Chable, Progressive breaks and beautifull, moody music

My rating : 9/10

Errrrr how long ago did I give you this???

Quality tune... I played it out, then just starting listening to it again. These are the breaks....

To me the melody sounds kind of similar to "open day". That's not a bad thing though, it's still a great track, although not close to his best IMO.
