Magenta - Twisted Soul

Couldn't find a thread about this, but i was just wondering if anyone knows any information about this track. It was on PVD's migmag CD last summer and i have done countless searches for it over the internet and cannot find any info about it at all. Was just wondering when or even if this was getting a release and on what label etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Ian

It will be the Hemstock & Jennings 2004 remix that's coming out. There will also be an Icone remix.

not at all. its just pvd labelled it wrong on his mixmag cd. i tell u what though, it is probably the hardest tune i have ever had to try and mix. not only does it have a very early breakdown, but it has such a distorted beat, it is really hard to get it beat matched prefectly. i have tryed doing my demo now with it three times, and i have made the same mistake with this tune each time would leave it out completely if it wasnt so fucking good

Which version do you mean when you say it's a hard track to mix? The original is simplicity itself. 24 bars of drums, a drop into nothing and then the bass kicks in - what's so difficult about that? Plus it's in the key of C so thousands of other tunes keymix with it.

Same story with the Hemstock & Jennings remix, really. 24 bars of drums and then the bassline comes in (no drop beforehand). The only problem I can see with this version is that the whole track seems to be heavily panned left - or is that just my vinyl copy?

In any case, the original mix of this track is very, very good (I've been waiting for it since PVD's Mixmag CD), the Hemstock & Jennings remix less so.

im talking about the orginal mix. i have just had a lot of trouble getting my mix 100% perfect when i bring this track in. as a said before, it has a really distorted beat, which makes perfect beatmatching a bit tricky and i when the beat comes in after the breakdown, i find that as it comes in so so banging that the mix doesnt really flow. thats all. even pvd had a bit of trouble with this track on his mixmag cd, where the mixing is not perfect.

From what I here the pressing is horrible

Old thread, still a great tune. Just though I might remind people of it.
