Terraplex - Swordfish [Full 192]

Here is a second track i completed over the last 2 weeks. Its another boshing Tech Trancer. There is some major influence from Tiesto's lethal industry as you may hear, ive also tried something new using hoovers in a tech track. Another experiment, hope you like it!!

Love the percs...what a great selection of samples!
Gotta love the early development of your ryhthm section...solid, my friend...SOLID!

You know what you're doing I see. Great break and everything. Nicely EQ'ed re-entry synth... clean sounds.

Overall, very pro, very well done....not very melodic, but obviously not your goal. Still very addictive, especially @ 4:15.

very nice work.. i found myself compelled to listen till the end..
it kept me listening to see what was around the next corner.. i can see the obvious influences from Lethal Industry, but thats not a bad thing.. could be fun to play in a live bootleggin of the two..

Only complaint would be the hoover sound, its interestingly different, but seems a bit too off putting from the rest of the track

Still nice work, and as mentioned.. you clearly know what your doing.

i miss a big fat Ride sample in this tune.

Also more automation in the synths to make it more intresting.

beat sounds quite nice.

those stops at 1.42 with that weird synth, sounds ugly imo.

Wow great beat man, very much like tiesto.
Though im not so sure about the originality of this tune, the whole thing sound to much like Lethal Industry. Maybe if you tried putting in some different sounding lead synth. Some people might consider this a rip of.

You got a great bit there, just try adding something different on top of it. Something more original, something you came up by yourself.

conclusion
the intro is cool, and with really cool percussion work, and it does sound like u have SOME inspiration from Marco, which is good.. it is really cool to see somebody tries out a style a little out of the ordinary.. and yes it does sound very Lethal Industry like.. the best thing about the tracks is techno stylish of it.. repetetive and driving.. I think it could be better arranged though, u could bring the drive forward a bit.. some extra synth would have maked the track fuller of sound.. good work though, I like it!!!

Bass sounds a bit... undefined, and the kick is just unprocessed. Could use a tail IMO.
Percs are very nice. Hm not pretty much is happening, maybe I have difficulties with the music style. i like the break tho. Uhu very lethal industry indeed? Amusing

Not bad in quality, not really my style.

I really like this one mate, love the little break at 2:18, fantastic stuff!

Someone said that the BD could do with a longer release, I feel the same, but dont add too much or it'll mud up the bass. The bass itself does feel a little dry too, seems too "static" maybe a slight, and only a slight, distortion and open the release a tad too.

The percs are top notch, although sometimes they could do with a bit more variations in places...

Overall mate, work on it a bit more and you got a stomper on your hands,

right. comments from the word go

-the kick is way too thin, phatten that shit up
-like the mauro picotto perc sample robbed what is it..hong kong?
-into main percs, overall i feel a lack of release on stuff, things just "stop"...they need to flow more into each other
-the actual percs are good i like them, techy, but they are over-riding the bass....get that bass back up
-nice synth break with the 1/4s like it
-once again more nice intro synths and fx coming...the bass and kick is really lacking tho...u gotta WHACK up that kick and bass man,dominate that track!
-haha the lead is ridiculously like lethal industry
-the delay/flange/pitch fx are a bit strange and really made me lose where the track was, but it kicked back in nice.
-the riff is really not strong enough to hold the track...what is is-3 notes> u gotta be more creative with that riff. the track would improve 100% if the riff could hold interest
-and now it just changed into a hard house tune...definately not needed....hoovers yuck no thanks

overall a good effort and good concept but i really didnt enjoy when the track turned into a hardhouse mashup...that hoover was awful sry

this could be made into a great tune if u deleted some uneccesarry percs,synths,fattened the kick, sorted the bass and made the riff more interesting. thats all it needs.

try not to complicate things....keep it simple-but make sure the simple is good

John: That loop isnt actually from picotto its just a few multi samps, the only sampled loop in there is from an Antiloop tune. Ill change the hoovers then, and get rid of the hoover i was gonna try something new, but ill slap the back of my hand if it sounds like hard house cus i hate the stuff V2 maybe done when i get back from my holiday.
