Cream and Silk filters

What is a cream and silk filter type? Are there anymore "strange" filter types and if so could you explain me what it does?

sounds like your talking about Albino

The silk filter is a bit more tame when compared to the cream filter and it leaves a lot more overtones.

Silk offers lowpass (12 or 24dB/octave), 24dB/octave bandpass, and 12dB/octave highpass. Other controls are the usual cutoff, resonance, keyboard tracking, envelope invert, and envelope amount. Cream is the same, but provides 12 or 24dB/octave rolloffs for lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and notch responses.

The names silk and cream are given to the structues of each filter.. its something developed and named by linplug

Hope this helps..
