My new place

I love it. Bronte Village in Oakville. I have everything at my fingertips including a 24 hour grocery store across the street. 3 ice cream places, a licks, even a crepe place and about 60 other stores all within 3 blocks. And im a block from the lake. The best part is that my job is right downstairs. People also seem to be very friendly. I feel like im living in Europe here. Everything is within walking distance.

It may be Oakville, but Bronte beats the hell out of typical suburban living.

A good gf of mine lives there...i could never live in the boonies, i'd have to be 40 to do that...i need the city!

"...new york city boy...lalalala..."

Posted by Jayx1 on Jul-13-2004 15:04:

Oakville the boonies??? its 20 mins away and between here and there its nothing but city.

LOL LOL

Who needs Toronto? I have everything i need within walking distance except nightlife without the homeless people sleeping in my doorway. Although transit could be better. (i hate being forced to own a car)

Neat, I'm up just up the road north of the QEW - so I'm going to spend my days driving around bronte looking for you...

When I find you I'll take you out for ice cream (2 scoops w/ sprinkles) and maybe you wouldn't be such a sour puss.

I love living in thornhill at the end of the day lol. But right after the party I wish I could crash downtown like everybody else. It's so much easier to say ok, lets go home and meet up later for everyone else. With me that's a 30-45 minute drive each way. Best of both worlds would be house in T-Hill and a condo in the core.

I'd rather live in Europe.

Im not a sourpuss in real life! LOL I just have too much time to vent on messageboards and too much insight sometimes. That will change once we open our new store. Come by Quiznos at Bronte and Lakeshore. Thats the place my cousin and i are opening. If things go well we will be opening on Saturday.

Cool stuff. So what's your view on the general lack of party attitude among the youth of T-hill?

Posted by tatgirl on Jul-13-2004 16:57:

I'm having it Thursday. I'll probably get a Classic Italian or something.

Congrats, Jay. How close are you to the lake? Oakville make logistic sense for your commuting. Get to know the speed traps first.

Bronte Village is on the lake - like right on the lake (a la Bronte Harbor).

Thats where Ill be in less than a month

Im SO gonna miss downtown

I love how he says Oakville is "littered" with hot women.... what an excellent choice of words. I found that Oakville, Richmond Hill, Newmarket and some of Aurora are all festered by hot ladies...heheh.

I used to live in Thornhill... near that LHF school... if you know it then you know where it is. I couldn't stand THornhill... I found it was quickly becoming the North--North-York.

Now I live in Richmond Hill... and aside from it not being downtown where I'd love to live even more....

Repruhzent the R.DOT!!!!

Posted by Flec on Jul-14-2004 17:20:

only good thing about thornhill is if you blaze its pretty chilling other then that the party scene is always hurting
