When Buying From Ebay...

I cannot stress this enough...

GET YOUR SHIPMENT INSURED FOR THE FULL AMOUNT

I just received two broken technics 1200's that I paid for and I'm not going to receive any reimbursement because I didn't have insurance.

I had a similar experience, one TT was busted, but luckily it was quite easy to fix - I got lucky tho!

I had an experience like that where it WAS insured, and UPS still hasn't gotten back to the shipper about the claim that was filed. It arrived over and month ago, UPS came and took pictures and everything. I don't know wtf is going on.

I think the best thing to do is make sure that they pack the items right or they are in their original packing material. Otherwise you're really taking a gamble. I'll tell you all that next time for sure I'm buying new stuff and eating the bill just because I don't want to have to deal with broken equipment/insurance claims/all that other bullshit.

once i sent my gf a diamond ring in the mail and she got the package and it was empty. The service I luckily had a $100 standard insurance and luckily i had only spent $99.99 on the ring. I got the money back in 2 months, and by then I had broken up with her so it was all good, 100 bucks in my pocket. But this is a different story, Im definetly in the red this time.

Yep, if you buy something that is this expensive, then definitely insure it. I did when I bought my setup off the e-bay.

they actually ask if you would rather keep the damaged goods or have them take them. Who knows what they do with the stuff. I chose to keep mine, because the damage was relatively minor, but still due to the fact they bashed and banged everything around so much.
