Remix packs

Hello, I'm kind of new to producing Trance, but I'm currently working on a remix right now and all I have is a strings track included on the vinyl and a guitar loop that I managed to sample. Is there any way I could somehow get the Acapella of "Protect You" by Tim Hornsby?

This wasn't really meant as a request, I mean, if someone has it then please let me know, but I was also asking where I could maybe obtain the Acapella track. Would I have a chance at getting it from the original producer?

there are ways but the outcome isn't very usable or even possible in some cases. one way would be to get an instrumental of the same track, then have them both opened in cubase or whatever u want to use. Then make sure they start exactly at the same time,same volume, ect.. then phase reverse the instrumental track and it will cancell out all the same frequencies that are present in both tracks, leaving you with the vocals...this is not 100% and will only work if the instrumental is basically the track without vocals and not different then the original. You could also try yogen vocal remover plugin, which works on the same theories of phase reversing but doesn't work that well at all. third, try to see if the accapella is available on the vinyl copy..somtimes they are. Forth, if your really going crazy for it, contact the label and see if you can work out a deal with them $$$$(its more complicated than that but i've explained this too many times)

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

I do have the Dub mix along with the Vocal mix, and the Dub mix is exactly the instrumental. The only problem is that they aren't exactly the same speed, i'm talking about fractions of a BPM, since they are ripped from vinyl. I will give it a try though. Thanks!

you fucken fat ******s shut the fuck up search button is great but do you relise that when your trying to find shit it doesnt allways work the way you want it to. sometimes it does sometimes it doesnt so shut the fuck up. secondly sometimes technolgy changes in which case would mean that maybe someone figured out a better algorithem to proccess the data and might of got it to work correctly. so stfu fucken ******s. now if you need a direct copy of the track to phase reverse then what you can do is get goldwave and use it to remove the vocals it has very very good built in filtering and shit. its kinda old school but really fucken good . and just remove the vocals and then phase reverse.

or it's just you that's incompetent and doesn't know how do do a proper search....

okay but seriously now, when it comes to remixpacks...the biggest chance you have of getting one is talking with the producer (and there will probably be money involved in that process)

you can do a phasereversion and fancy shit like that but it will be hard, it will not work 100% perfect and it will be illegal

and please use the searchbutton before you start a post next time, it's not easy being pretty new here so I'll go gently on ya for now
