What do you do for a cold????
Hey everyone I need to know something...but first a story. After lunch today I started feeling like shit. I didn't know why because usually I dont get sick. so yeah my throat started getting all cloged, and i started coughing a bit, and now im gettin light headed. what I want to know is what do you all do for colds? So far the only thing I took was 2 advil C/S so hopefuly that will work. If not I want to try some of your remedys.......so yeah please help Thanks alot :TF: 
this is 1 of my 3 daily routines i do for a cold:
2 benadryl
2 tylenol sinus
1 tablespoon robitussum
1 vitamin c (1000mg)
1 multivitamin
2 extra strength tylenol (500mg each)
WATER
caffiene
warning: you feel kinda funny after all this, but it's still fun hehe
go to a local drugstore and tell the pharmacist your symptoms...he'll recommend some really good stuff! and get some zinc lozenges, which help fight colds. Get rest and dress for the season (shorts and a tshirt in Arizona)

You`ll sweat like hell after this one but you`ll be feeling a lot better! (this is NOT a joke!)
i dunno about you guys but i just like to snort a lot of crack. doesnt really sure the runny nose though.

drinking orange juice usually works
heh i personally swear by TheraFlu...it has ALWAYS worked for me...take it with warm water, u can almost feel it getting to work with every sip...its a bit bitter tho

Orange juice...Hot tea with hunny...and the Tranceaddict forum...ahh feel a lot better. 
Chicken soup and lots of tea...

wuttup trancefusion! sorry to hear you aren't feeling well m8. my mom swears by theraflu also. but yeah juricimo is right. tell a pharmacist your symptoms and they'll be able to help you out, but since i'm a pharmacist just post your symptoms in this thread and when i check later i can try to recommend something. and because of my profession i have to warn plastikE to watch the tylenol intake cuz more than 4 grams in a day can irreversibly damage the liver. and that's a bad thing. check the ingredients on the boxes and total them and don't take more than 4 grams a day. as for me my standard routine is two capsules of echinacea (herbal product) and two tablets of 500mg tylenol in the morning, noon, and evening. dose of nyquil at night. (that puts me at 4g of tylenol). and drink a lot of water and rest a lot. seems to work fine for me. oh yeah, and a disclaimer if you plan on drinking any sort of alcohol then your max tylenol intake should only be 2.6g. so when you need to fight that hangover the next morning tylenol is okay but advil or motrin is better. just take it with a small amount of food to combat the dreaded ulcers with combination alcohol/nsaid (class of drugs) therapy. hope this helps all the TA's to not get colds or liver damage. peace!!!!

Hey everyone thanks for you help.....Lost I didn't know that you were pharmacist, heh you learn something new everyday but yeah i think im going to try some of the tea w/ honey, and maybe pop some of that echinacea (herbal product) and some nyquil. if not i think i'll give that theraflu stuff a shot....anyway thanks again everyone and dream grl, heh i have the ice cream as we speek!

the last thing you want to do is pump yourself with tones of drugs
so here is what you should do...sorry if I offended anyone with this remark
1) Neo Citron is a must, it helps you sleep and it is loaded with agents to fight the bacteria....available at drugstores tastes like lemon tea " this one medication is an asset"
if fever comes then you must take "advil sinus and cold" every 4 hours
as directed otherwise don't worry about taking pills
take one in the morning and before bed
if you stay home take one at lunch too...
2) this works too but don't do this right before or after neo citron, wait 2 hours before or after neo citron
take a hot bath and boil 1 cup of either red wine or beer
after it boils let it cool just enough so you can sip it and sip it in the tub
Last but not least take vit C 3 times a day no more than 500mg per serving
and keep taking it everyday to prevent more illnesses in the future
ideally you want to take 2000-4000mg of vit C per day
but work your way up to that dose gradually each week to avoid complications with your body
Let me know how it went
you should also not drink anything cold no smoking caffeine
and eat things like garlic onions veggies and fruits and home made chicken soup is great as well.........
give yourself 3 days to get rid of this
depending on where you live it could be allergies to rag weed so don't be fooled

My ex-roommate's cure was to beat off. All day all night. He said it would raise your temperature like a fever and kill off the germs. I don't know if it would work but damn he was happy whenever he was sick. 
Hey i heard faye is a "nurse" ..she can cure anything...hehehhe nah j/k
