what can i say, this just sounds amazing, no cutop from my side, sounds are perfect, good idea with the guitar...

congrats, niklas

Sounds pretty damn good!
Awsome bassline!

Posted by State of Matter on Jul-15-2004 17:50:

Sounds nice, not as impressive as Ocean Drive though. I really love the guitar but i'm afraid the rest of it is very standard trance. Production wise its top notch, i'm just not much for the style.

this sounds good man, bassline killer, but thats always the case with george .

i really liked the intro.

Guitar is sweet , and the break also (y)

only thing is, i find the main lead a bit simillar to autumn falls.

thats all

i love this a lot, but you know this already...guitar is amazing, alucard remix is wicked too.

Cool

great stuff geo, does sound a bit too much like autumn falls tho now that it has been mentioned. ocean drive all the way!

I always spit on low bitrates, but I'm sure you got your reasons for that. Tho this sounds as very standard trance work, it belongs to the best around here in quality. I just love that guitar, great job on that!!!

the guitar in this is one of the few songs that makes me play air guitar and go "doooooooooeeeeeeeeey doooo doooooooooooo dooooouuuy" out loud

its astoundingly good. if i had a label and a wad of cash i'd release it tomorrow

Posted by Nik Novo on Jul-16-2004 01:33:

wow! this one is awesome... that guitar is awesome! tell me when you find a label, i will definitely buy this one!

Posted by pho mo on Jul-16-2004 04:21:

hey, i think the song is absolutely great, and all the very best on getting a good deal signing it.
i don't like the guitar one bit ... for me the main melody line is waaaay too slow and dull, the bends not too well performed. but that's my opinion; everybody else loves it, so it must actually be good!
the way the line is used in this tune reminds me of spiral by robert nickson, but in spiral the synth lead was a truly evolving, wonderful piece of work and had a lot more character than the guitar tone in this tune.
sorry for sounding so critical, but when the rest of the tune is so awesome i'd expect better! hopefully it's constructive criticism anyway.
anyhow, a thoroughly excellent tune. well done! and good luck.

Sorry pho mo, but i think i have to disagree about the main melody, i think that it works perfectly well and has that "99" edge to it. As for the guitar... well, if i could play guitar, it would have recorded it, but in this case, i had to make do with a soundset and work from there! Points taken constructively though.

Thanks for your feedback on this everyone, lets hope it gets the attention of a label soon enough!

George

I don't know, i really think this one is better than ocean drive.

the drive is so much better in this tune, the lead is awesome, even if it's the little brother of autumn falls. and the guitar is perfect.

i only kept 3 lowbitrate tunes on my playlist so far.

elude-purgatory
areodrome-devote
JohnOc-the day after.

and this will be the fourth

great track! i love that guitar man!!

Nice George, very nice. Very sweet riff... I'm definitely noticing this slight Autumn resemblence though Liking the Hales bassline and the funky acid/bass sounds.

Nice break, but it almost gets a little too calm for my liking at one stage. I'd like to hear a bit more going on, but it's fine the way it is.

Now the guitar... I'm tending to agree with pho mo here The actual melody is good but I don't really like the sound at all. Pitch bending is indeed difficult, but if I'm being picky it doesn't sound spot on.

I guess it's nothing to worry about though - the majority of the listeners don't see any problem with it.

Edit: Listening again and the guitar sounds better for some reason! Definitely grown on me in the space of about 2 minutes

WoW, really enjoying this George.

Thumbs up

Ok, first of all - killer production quality and I need to get my hands on that kick and those strings!
They sound fantastic...

And as far as the guitar that everyone is talking about..I think I'd have to say I'm not a big fan either. The bends sound alright, they could last maybe just a bit longer though - sounds a bit too unnatural. The tuning sounds fine to me. But the tone of the guitar just doesn't do it for me...I like the part, but I think it needs a better sounding guitar or a different sound altogether.

However, with that said - I listen to a track of mine after listening to this and realize I have a long way to go in order to get EQ'in and production down pat.
Nice work - and good luck with the labels.

Intro sounds really good, it has energy and doesn't sound to messy. The sound of the crashes could be a bit better though.
break is good, guitar is... well... sounds good, but I don't think it fits perfectly in this track. But that's just my opinion.
Great melody, sounds awesome considering the low bitrate. The guitar kinds of ruins it imo. I dunno really, there's something with it that I don't like.

Bassline is ace, kicks and hats works well and the overall sound of it is amazing. Great job!

awesome stuff! quality tunage!
got not much constructive to say, personally i really dig the guitar, tho i agree with mk-s on the pitch bend.
nice track mate, i hope it gets released!

The whole thing was made in Reason 2.5 with various samples from other sources. Im now moving over to cubase and can see why alot more professional producers use it

Im gonna do a new mix of this, probably completely different. There are also some top remixers doing versions, so keep an eye on playlists for them!!!
