five months isn't too bad. what do people think about her career after she gets out? do you think she'll come back and make her millions...or is she ruined for good?

i think she'll come back because she has a lot of loyal fans/customers. can we call her prison bitch now?

What's so funny about this situation, if she had not sold the shares for 228,000 bucks 3996 shares, the shares would be worth 342,000 today and she would not be going to jail.

Making an example out of her, IMO.

But I love on Conan when they have the mouths talk underneath the faces and they turn her into Satan.

martha stewart is a personality who is famous for her being the perfect "house wife". she cooks, cleans, matches etc...

she created a company took it public. she got a tip from a friend that her stock was gonna take a hit so she sold some shares.

she got caught and she lied to officials about the information. she was convicted of lying and is going to jail...

1. Would the "average Amercian" have received the same sentence?
2. Can you imagine being Martha Stewarts cell-mate? I bet she tries to redecorate...

I think as members of the TAMS Alliance we should all choose one character and have them as our avatar

Not it on Cartman

Actually, her penalty was not nearly harsh enough. She deserves 2 years and a fine double of what she stole.

i watch the food network a lot and whenever i see her show, there's just something not right about her. she reminds me of one of those psycho, walking time bomb types...she's very controlled.

i notice how everything in her recipes has to be EXACTLY one teaspoon, or EXACTLY a quarter cup....she's really adamant about it, it's funny. all the other cooks just use their hand to measure stuff and have a more carefree attitude.

she's just weird and stuck up.

HAHAHA! Dude, she's like a billionare, and her pocket is only gonna be 30,000 and some lawyer fees lighter, so she is still gonna have mad $$$. They gave her the llightest possible federal sentence possible, and I think that is ok, but I don't even think she should have gotten that. I think that the SEC is def trying to make an example of her. Hey what ever happened to those Enron fcuks, they deserve some mad time in prison.

I think they should have put her away for at least a couple of years, seized her stock portfolio, and fined her until her goofy ass had to live on Mac & Cheese for the rest of her days.

Why the hell should famous people get away with shit like this?
