Los Angeles, Trance Club Heaven Review, 7-16-04, Motorcycle, Dave Dresden

Bad Night. The opening dj's were horrible and motorcycle didnt go on to around 1:15 and after listening to 3 hours of bad sets I was ready to leave but I was interested to see motorcycle and the live aspect of it. Jes can really sing and works the crowd. Her voice is exatcly like the records. No britney spears processing going on. Then Dave Dresden comes on with the cocky jeff bomb and after playing for 20 minutes I decided to leave. I love gabriel and dresden, but this night was trash. Where was Gabriel?

I have to disagree about the opening djs. Well at lease DJ Skyhigh. She rocks.

And Jes was freaking awesome.

Dresden and the other guy weren't bad, but the highlight was def Jes.

It was a cool night overall, though. I went outside for DJ ISS and Larry, as I did not enjoy the beginning of ISS, and I have seen Larry too many times.

I agree with what you say too, I didnt know her name "dj skyhigh" but i thought she was the best dj there and i liked her set. Dj Iss and Larry were horrible. Jes was very cool.

Yeah. I really find Skyhigh's sets to be uplifting and energetic.

I hope that she becomes the main opener.

well, motorcycle Live PA does not include Gabriel&Dresden, even though they were producers of ATRC. Motorcycle Live PA is Jess on her own, as she sings on other tracks besides those produced by G&D.
Dave ended up playing because he is a friend of Jeff's and they thought it would be fun(Josh Gabriel just had a baby with his wife and is very occupied right now).

anyway, are you a dj? if so, what clubs have you been playing at?

my name is actually kristina sky (which dragonreborn knows... hehehehe) but when I play at raves and outdoor events my dj name is skyhigh(nickname from my past).

anyway, im no armin, but i try to play tracks people will like, and so far it seems I have done at least that.

dont get a bad taste in your mouth from friday, there will be many other good nights to come. :-)

its located at a venue called arena on friday nights.
its on santa monica and las palmas, right next to spundae.

hey people have a right to be critical of music that is lousy or not well presented. One does not have to be a DJ at a major club to know when the music is poor or when the DJ has no skills.

And if you can't take criticism, your in the wrong business!

so where do you live?

and if you are under 21, you can still go to outdoor parties.

i play at desert or forest parties about once every two months or so.

i also plan on throwing on at the end of august.

I am currently on vacation in Europe, then I'm moving Vegas. I lived in LA this past year though.
