i've never really liked the idea of these kinda albums. i'm sure i'll take a listen at some point, but i'm also sure that i'll be disappointed by the crappy production...

Im not into classical but trance remixes of classical, interesting. From the ones I've heard, they're either cheesy or melodic doesnt fit well. Gonna check this out.
Why Jan_Vayne & Armin_Van_Buuren? Mixed by them?

true, a lot of the time the melodies do not fit a trance track very well..

however, i bought the cd a few months ago and there are quite a few good tracks on it.. Promise of a New World (Mark Otten Remix), Heaven's Air (Fred Baker vs. Terry Bones Remix), Welcome to a New World (Fred Baker Remix), Dear Lilly (Haak Remix), Divided (The Boiler Room Remix), etc.

Im wondering... Jan Wayne? The same Jan Wayne that gave us the cheesiest cheese tunes such as:
"Total Eclipse Of The Heart"
"Because The Night"
etc.

or is this a different person?

No its Jan Vayne, a Dutch pianist. Obviously he did the classical execution, and Armin, or whoever's track it is, remixed it.

best track on it is Terry & Fred's rmx of Heaven's Air

Yes, this album first came out in Holland. I don't know if they already released it in other countries.
First CD represents the Chill-out sound
Second CD represents nowadays Trance-sounds
This CD is only 7.99 Euro, because it's supposed to be a promotional CD. I think they done better on this great album!

Some of my favourites:

Miami Sunset - Markus Schulz remix
Canon Ball - Fred Baker Chill mix
Pictures - Vincent de Moor Mix (Check this one out, it's the best!!!)
Prosperity In A New World - Signum Mix

Go buy it, don't download!

But I still want that link to buy it... I'm a good boy

I definitely want to check this out but definitely don't want to pay for the epensive shipping costs from Dancegrooves = it's like 3 times to price of the actual album

Would anybody know if there is another online store to purchase it from [obviously with cheaper shipping fees] ?

Posted by Plastick on Aug-22-2004 03:12:

Knowing that this album is not mixed and almost all of the tracks are rmxed by different artiste, why is Armin's name on this album? He did the engineering work?

edit: oops, i found my answers @ here
